It might just be Wolves thinking about professional pr relations to be fair.

 

I can see why any professional, footballer and or ex city manager cannot speak about what is going on here. What club would hire them if they are known to speak out? Social media ended freedom to speak your mind in my view.

 

It doesn't end your freedom to speak your mind as long as you are happy to take any consequences.

Before social media it wouldn't have been good for your career to talk to the press about another club so it is similar now but with social media.

 

It would be interesting to see what other ex players, not currently involved or even seeking to be involved in football employment have to say about things.

I know Jamie Lawrence has become outspoken recently, but wonder what stalwarts of the club (those who until recently appear to have been still closely associated or close in feeling to it), have to say. I'm thinking people like John Hendrie, Dean Windass etc.

I'd also love to have known what Big Bobby's views on it all were, but sadly that's not possible.

There seems to be a dwindling lack of affinity from ex players these days, less and less seen at matches, less and less being asked for opinions. Is "The Club" telling the T&A and Radio Leeds not to speak to these people ? If so that's something that really can't be good for the soul of the club.

 

Of course not. Let me put it this way it puts a chilling effect on free speech.

True, but the likes of Hendrie & Windass were always milling about, it's not long since these two used to host "an evening with" in local venues and just talk about their times here even though it wasn't the majority of their careers.

Hendrie left in 1988, but still seemed to have a deep love for the place.

 

Hendrie is City through and through....im not sure Windass is, he seems more of a Hull boy.

Lawrence, Mills, Jones, Morais, Kiwomya all seem to hold us in the highest regard.

 

Its a shame our current chairman does not hold us in such regard.
