No you haven’t , I was speaking generally for example on a topic I’ve spoken about possibly moving away from VP temporarily if season ticket numbers are low or if we are relegated and there’s a certain poster/s on here that won’t even entertain the discussion and quite blatantly calls me stupid for even thinking it’s an option.

Another point I brought up was the option of closing the upper tiers of the stadium if ST numbers are very low and again I was called stupid/thick etc etc. it might piss a few people off but at least discuss it as an option.

My view on the loyal points for away games has been questioned where people label me as some form of privileged Uber fan just because I attend every game and expect some reasonable ticket priority.

My view on ST prices has been shouted down, not just with a reasonable debate or different opinion but instead with distain and an attitude of ‘STFU’ ‘Don’t you know there’s a cost of living crisis etc.’

The point being on here is that there seems to be a distinct lack of intelligent people to debate sensitive topics without hurling abuse and petty name calling. Eg. Calling people happy clappers and part of the problem simply because they want to renew their ST.

This forum represents a very small portion of the fanbase so it’s pretty irrelevant

 

I disagree with you on this Loyal, I feel that the majority of the time the forum is fair and nuanced. Yes, it gets heated occasionally but I don't think we have many actual wrong-uns and the mods do a decent job of keeping it civil. I'm certain there are many worse football forums about. On the whole, this feels like a decent community.

I’m sorry but there are too many on here that feel they can shout down others opinion without backing up their own opinion with a balanced debate.

 

Don't worry about it, they called me (under a different user name) vacuous. Water off a ducks back as I reckon I could fit all their combined brain cells into my head and still have room for normal function.

 

I disagree, there are many on here (sometimes myself included) who don't fully appreciate the shortness that a typed message can come across as, but not many (with certain exceptions, most of who I have on ignore anyway) who actually go out of their way to insult others and shout them down.

It's mainly what we like to call bantz. (Does that make it all a "Bantam Thing")

IMO, each person has differing levels of "intelligence" and blanketing all folk the same, I would not agree with.

It is the human condition to want to put ppl in different piles then label them. It makes us feel comfortable. However it would be my experience ppl very rarely fall into one pile and are a mixture of several. It also limits our experience if we decide not to interact with certain piles because they said or did something.

My view for what it is worth life is too short to fall out with each other on a msg board where its very nature is a distinct pile of city fans.

I also read the TCA from time to time and even more rarely comment on there. Lots of swearing and language that we don’t read in here but intertwined they have some very thoughtful debates. I tend to ignore the more lewd comments directed at me as they are just having a laugh.
At times I can be sharp and sarcastic but I try to engage with everyone. Easter is nearly here a lovely time of year.
