I think it's probably one of many other issues tbh.

 

I don’t think the players are in any position to disrepect the manager, given the results and performances over the last two seasons. They may not like his decisions but there duty it to the fans and to make sure they give it 100% on the field of play. We can’t have players deciding who will play!

 

It's like we have a North East mafia or something but on a serious note, I'll rather have most of these players out of our club before anything, sick of them right now and even wins from now to end of season are papering over the cracks.

 

I can’t believe that. As a professional you would have to walk away.

 

Andy K on more than one occasion , in fact last time was Notts county coverage alluded to the facilities and the correlation with injuries (he worked in the prevention side of that under Adam’s)

A lot of guff gets printed when you are playing badly. Pretty much all of it bullshit. In reality there is no conspiracy theory, the last four games just placing us where a badly run club belongs.
That reality also meaning a manager needs time to get his own group of players together to play to his way of thinking, but it also needs a way of thinking from the top of the club and a manager appointed to undertake that thinking process.
Our problem is we still haven't got past the thinking stage, merely asking managers to fight fires without a clear mandate for the future.
Gotta get the plan right first.

Players downing tools is nothing new, happens all over the leagues, sometimes 4 or 5 times a season if you're a Watford player. But they'll know at this point that GA has a very limited use by date on his City career. If he's still employed this time next week, it's because we won both easter games. Other than that, he's out I reckon.

Foster mentioned it on his podcast loads of times, but players all have little groups in squads. Sometimes, one group will decide enough is enough and start the spread of the drop in standards. Sometimes it's just one very vocal player. He said before when he was at Watford, a few agents knew a sacking was coming as the club were reaching out to out of work managers, so the agents contacted their players and told them to give the bare minimum in training for this guy as he's about to leave.

A few players on various pods have explained it and all have a general theory they stick to. The player thinking is, why give my all in training or games for a manager that everyone knows is going? As once the dressing room is gone, there's no getting it fully back. If they sprint their hardest, tackle their hardest, they could cause injury. So when the new guy comes in, they don't want to be on the treatment table or missing any time. Instead, they can be fresh as a daisy as they've barely put in any effort for a few weeks and then they over-do it for the first few sessions with the new guy to try get in the team as the new guy will think these lads are really up for it.

His background is injury prevention and he’s done this at clubs higher up the leagues.

In addition I don’t need to rely on AK, I can see it week after week with the injuries that we get that are soft tissue related.

You’ve not answered my point, is it the players bodies, preparation, training or the facilities. It has to be something, quite possibly a mixture.

It will happen time and time again to us and other clubs every season. Unfortunately player power will always be the biggest thing in football and if they've already decided they don't want him, they'll play like it.

 

Like I said, I'll rather sack most of these players first but some more awful defeats and I think Sparks will pull the plug that what he usually does. I have my problems with Alexander in the last few weeks on team picks/tactics and his last few bullshit interviews but I would back him over these weak filled cry babies of a football team.

 

He worked at the club for a short spell recently as fitness and conditioning coach, he will know the facilities and the set ups involved.

Also whilst commentating on the notts county game he called Gillead's injury long before it went. Many times, even during the first half he mentioned him looking tired, leggy and as if carrying an injury.

 

You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to realise Gilly was being driven into the ground , I know zero about fitness but I am smart enough that he couldn’t go on forever.
Would you agree that clubs like Man City probably have the best facilities in the world ….

that is your quote, people have given answers (with evidence like you always demand for some ridiculous reason, this is an open forum for opinions, not necessarily facts) yet you failed to recognise that and climb back upon high horse kevin

EG, at interview someone said they hold a degree in sports science would YOU want to see it or just take their word for it…… What is the difference with my question .
