Well said I like the whaler as although comments sometimes guarded it obvious he does have connections rather than ‘ I know someone close to the club’ I also appreciate why this person needs be selective with posts and responses but I think you are right, it’s exactly the type of ITK poster that could actually convey some of the views of fans? He obviously cares because despite being in Spain he’s logging in to the forum which also suggests despite being connected he is actually a fan which can’t be said about our owner or Rugby loving snake oil salesman.

what does worry me is the structure of having non exec directors and ppl involved without any clout to hold the club to account. I’m a director of s charity and we have more checks and balances of compared to what is a multi million pound business

You give the impression that you are aware of things happening behind the scenes and say that David Baldwin wouldn’t want to return. Has he been asked if he would return to sort out the mess we are in? Please explain how you know he wouldn’t want to return.

 

Just the odd few who don't understand Associate Directors pay for that privilege if it can be called that, and have no input into the club decisions, but where they have a certain expertise they offer it for free I believe, they bleed Claret & Amber just the same as you and me, some of you guys need to wind your knecks in in @wetherbywhaler case and when other fans don't go along with your take on all things Bradford City, were not helping ourselves with these sort of comments were reading, fellow fans shouldn't be at each others throats being the ones taking flack for the situation our club in.

For me Dave, with some on this board its not what they say its how they say it. I have no problem with anyone posting as long as it adds to the debate and isn't derogatory. But if i feel they are being condescending and giving it the biggun i wouldn't hesitate to pull them on it. I guess its each to their own interpretation but by and large its a friendly place.

Well, like other text based communication platforms, there’s no way to decipher tone so I think with some people they just want to read things in a negative way rather than having the intelligence and open mindedness to actually understand the meaning of the words before automatically firing off a negative, contradictory response.

 

Sorry I don’t have the intelligence to decipher your post, it just appears as a word salad to me. It is a bit of a worry really as my beliefs are if the author is blaming the reader then that means the text has failed to reach the reader.

 

It's really not. A bit arsey sometimes, but not toxic.

 

What there is, increasingly, is division. Oversimplfying maybe, but essentially 2 camps:

1. Those who'll back the club and attend games irrespective of how the club is run or engages its fans, and who lay a chunk of the mood at the door of;.
2. Those who expect a level of professionalism, ambition and competence, who believe enough is enough and demand change and see the group above as being enablers.

The reality is, NONE of this is the fault of either group. Its squarely at the door of Rupp and Sparks. Simple as that. That's how accountability works.

What I will say, is that change won't happen without some form of united front.

Loyal I agree. Some emails are very abrupt but when you confront the sender and ask what is up its a opposite and a different vibe sometimes. My old boss was a sod...... no please thanks you or anything pleasant but one of the nicest guys you could ever meet..... As said before, club employees or associates have to be very careful of the party line.. was it Lee Mills saying any of is negative comments may scupper a potential move for a city protegee to Wolves....? Sun is shining lets all play nice...one AIM.... Sparks gone as he is not up to the job..... Gillingham and other clubs are all getting their internal stuff sorted DOF ETC Why cant we?
