If memory serves me right Grayshon turned a contract extension down because the training ground was not up to standard
Adams has said that certain things behind the scenes are not right
We all know the rain we have had rain since October the training ground is heavy
That brings on injuries
Have the players had enough of risking there fitness on our training ground & playing surface at VP
Nothing Sparks or Rupp will do anything about

Maybe moving training ground to Horsfall would help but do we have finances in place & a contract with the school that can be dissolved

Issues:

We don’t own the training ground
We don’t own the stadium
The pitch at the stadium is a disgrace
Only seen the owner once in 6 months
CEO is a joke
Head of recruitment is a shambles
The club is disconnected from its fans
Expectations haven’t been managed
Playing budget to low
Youth set up no not good enough
Mixed messages about the direction of the club.

I was thinking the same vs mansfield why would you drop a player who has consistently scored against them..maybe sparks is placing bets and manipulating team selection or maybe Rahic hasnt gone

I don't think we can underestimate the importance of the Middlesbrough bus in all honesty.

It wouldn't surprise me if that particular group either via fault or not have a big pull on this squad.

It contains the captain, the top scorer, the player of the year, and the squads Mr reliable plus others and all have a tenuous link to the head of recruitment.

There is a some big characters there and if there is a split it's bound to cause issues. It's a fairly big chunk of the squad,. coming to training, leaving training and arriving at games together. It's not a rocket scientist to work out how tongues might wag.

There is rumours around cook being billy big balls and Alexander attempting to nip that in the bud with his dropping, and it was obvious that cook and young had no love for each other in the few minutes they had in the team.

Throw in the MacDonald scenario, not always first eleven, thrust in as manager, then back to being a player. It shouldn't be a surprise that some of the decisions he made will have been some that his team mates won't have liked, now he has to fit back in to the scenario.

Clutching at straws maybe, but with the team seemingly downing tools, perhaps these are some of the issues GA is alluding to

Someone posted this on x about Cook and one of the replies was he's been absolutely toxic in the dressing room since the Accrington game. It could be all bullshit but if true, I didn't know it was this bad.

 

We won't ever know. But Cook does strike me as a frustrated figure and you can tell when he isn't happy.

 

The other interesting bit is about GA having lost the respect of the players, something WOAP alluded to a couple of weeks ago. No smoke without fire as they say.
