    That is definitely correct. We’ve rarely had anywhere near the attendances quoted, especially on Tuesdays. The £5 junior season ticket seats can be quoted in the attendance for every league match despite the fact that a lot of people buy those in the knowledge that they may only take their child to a handful of matches over the course of the season.

    I think all clubs quote the amount of tickets sold rather than the amount who have entered the turnstiles, but the percentage of people who buy our season tickets but don’t attend religiously must be higher than most other clubs due to the lower price. It obviously sounds good when trying to attract sponsors if we can state that we get attendances of 19,000 rather than realistic figures which are below that.
