I would imagine the CEO contract will have termination clauses written in to it.
The only negotiation would be if Rupp wanted to try and save some money.

£80k-£100k would be my guess. Peterborough chairman says he is paid peanuts on his podcast for the position he is in.

 

Fooking moaning about rent when the club continues to piss money up against the wall by either sacking managers or giving piss poor players long term deal.

Maybe he has done well on the commercial side but that means fook all when hes probably wasted millions.

How many years at this level and we have come close just once.

His tenure as CEO has been a fooking mess and only a complete loon would defend it now.

Whatever he’s on, Rupp has done it on the cheap. Hung us out to dry. As has Rhodes by grooming him.

he’s neglected the clubs needs. As soon as he forced Rahic to resign we needed some experience in to repair the mess, not some rookie with social media experience.

 

Lots of CEO roles have a termination clause written in. Along the lines of that if they leave under any circumstances (except gross misconduct) they are entitled to a pre-agreed severance package. And even if we don't have that I doubt this gets to lawyers/tribunal territory. A smooth exit is in both party's interests.

The club will want Sparks out of the door as soon as he's told he isn't wanted. To prevent him from causing further damage from within.

Sparks will be thinking about his next role and will want to leave in a way that doesn't tarnish his reputation. The club formally sacking him and reporting it to the press would be bad for him.

The conversation usually goes something like: 'We want to get rid of you. We can either sack you and report this to the press, or you resign, we'll pay you £X, and the official line to the press will be that you've made the choice to resign"

According to a former employee Rhodes was taking less than 40k so can’t see him being on near 100k
