They weren't good enough for the team we wanted to be. Now it seems they are too good for the team we have become.

Watched the game. My analysis is: Bradford City are dreadful, we will be relegated by December. Harrogate - hearts of lions, and probably one of the best Managers in the division.

Halliday - looks like his battery charger has finally packed in. Walker has also given up and pulled out of most tackles, and Cook was unable or unwilling to win or pass any ball, even off his own head, chest or his feet. Smallwood's lip is now so low all he can do is trip up over it. The only subs who put up any fight were Wilson and Chapman, unfortunately Pointon looked totally out of his depth, sorry.

Can't see anything but another battering on Friday.

Well so much for this week. Fly 4000 miles and see 3 losses. Observations on today; their #17 looked like a bit of a player. Leading one City fan to shout at him “come back Levi”. But seriously, he was winning everything in the midfield. All seemingly built on his “all heart, no talent” status. We were awful all over the field, even the the City fans just seemed resigned to the outcome and were relatively lacking in the kind of anger I would have expected. As for the manager, not much to say that hasn’t already been said. C.E.O really needs to go. Sorry but it is clear that the footballing side of the club has gone backwards under his stewardship. Anyway, I should be back in October, hopefully watching a team that can get us all excited and optimistic. See you in a few months.

Interesting stat after today's game. Since Harrogates first promotion to the football league in 2020, we have played them 9 times. The record?
    Won 2
    Drawn 1
    Lost 6.

Just let that sink in because this sums up what we are. A bang average at best league 2 side.

Quite fancy watching something horrific and scary now, Jon.

So it's either Hellraiser or the Harrogate highlights.

Bang average would actually be a massive improvement on what we've become!

Today was a watershed for this season. GA couldn’t get a tune it if the team. We never got going. Wrights miss summed up the day.

I believe GA started to look towards next season with his changes. The first XI were so disjointed. Weak down the left side. Again only Halliday busting a hit up and down the pitch.

Midfield with no dynamism. Nobody able to run beyond the front man. Cook unable to keep hold of the ball and link play. Then the last 30 mins wasn’t testimonial intent but we dropped off. The pen was the far side to us so I couldn’t see it but the players didn’t contest the decision. The OG summed us up.
Clear out required. GA to build his own team. A injection of Midfield pace movement and intent necessary. Must retain Halliday.

For me Hughes 30 man squad has been an expensive disaster. Whether that’s Gent and/or Hughes but GA is having to finish the season with Hughes players.

The football has been grim but he needs some time ALA Parkys first half season. Build from there. Hopefully GA plays some youth like Wadsworth to give them some time to develop.

This season is done. Maximise the remaining games to develop for next.

GA rates Smallwood! Do you trust him to rebuild?

    Our midfield is so slow!

Until Sparks goes I don’t trust anyone.

    Disgraceful City performance.

Sorry GA we as a club know hiring and firing isnt a recipe for success, however you have proven yourself to be a weak managerial appointment not be up to the job.

Hopefully a clean sweep coming, starting with sparks, to give us all something to look forward to next season.

Exactly! I keep saying this because it is my biggest worry for next season that if GA is here, Smallwood will be as well and that only means one thing. A central midfield pairing of him and Gilliead again which hasn't worked this season or last season and won't work again next season.

How do you whether he rates him or not?.

He picks him as there are no alternatives, has we have seen when he was suspended or injured.

I reckon we won't take the option to extend his contract

City's situation remains a puzzle to me.
Remember a lot of things have been and are good. Well organised backroom, cheap tickets, best managers available appointed, Wright and Young brought back, a good goalie found. Seemingly not in danger of money crisis.

So why have thing gone s bad? We have players who can play. Over the pat month they have been outplayed by some of seemingly lesser pedigree. To say they are not trying is ridiculous. Their careers, livelihoods and families futures on the line. Probably more pressure than any of us have.

Yesterday made me think. When your workers are demoralised and disheartened what should you do? Alexander's response was to congratulate the opponents (fair enough) but ignore his his distressed players and then go on to lambast them and announce they would have to move on next year. I accept he is under pressure himself but think anyone with that sensitivity should not manage anything. His first duty as a manager was to console the players.

I think I have found at least one factor in our crisis.

He said the other week that ever since he had him on loan at Scunny, he's looked out for his availability every single season. If that doesn't say he rates him I don't know what does.
