Whilst I don't believe it, the only thing I will say is that the club needs to do something material to prevent a catastrophic drop in ST sales.

Personally, I think its more likely that Rupp announces he's actively looking for a partial or full buyout. He doesn't even need to mean it, just a rouse to con fans into buying.

 

Even then, it won’t work.

the days of 14k STs are gone. Miracle if we hit 10k after the price hike for whats proving a worse product?

Not in a million years is he resigning. He'll need to be settled out.

 

And keep this in mind. Even if its true, if Rupp's mandate remains what it is now - to stay up and not lose money - we're not attracting a capable and ambitious CEO to replace Sparks either.

 

The way to do it is to employ a DOF who will have full responsibility for all things football. Not sure he can do anything about. You can restructure any business you like. Sparks probably won’t like it.

As I say, its not quick or easy to remove a CEO. It would require a Board meeting, settlement terms would have to be offered, Sparks would need to seek legal advice and review of those terms. It takes at least a couple of weeks, so a Monday departure would have to have been in the offing before today - in which case, why would Sparks have been at the game today?

It's possible that it's the reason Rupp came over against Mansfield, or that what he saw prompted an exit, but im highly dubious.

 

Rupp can remove him with immediate effect as he is 100% owner of BCFC and needs no board approval
The lawyers can sort out the leaving details but it is usual for instant removal for senior management

 

That’s very telling imo

 

If anything is likely to happen quickly, it would be the separation of the commercial and the footballing aspects of the club - not that I think this will in any way solve any of the issues.
