Well maybe, just maybe he became aware of the letters and without needing to read them decided to come over to find out what’s going on for himself.

Its not stronger at all WE win our games in stand 1 poiny of the play offs which simply show how crap it really is.

Not one team has impressed me this season i mean you could have picked 11 lads out of the crowd yesterday and they would have caused us problems :(

If nothing happens this week then it simply wont happen :(
Remove Sparks and the recruitment team then we may have a chance but if they re.ain then clearly he aint got a fooking clue.

Remember the mediocrity quote ????? That in itself should be enough for him to get the boot

Agreed, the standard of this league is appalling. I’ve attended all 37 league games thus far and cannot honestly say there has been a single team that has impressed me.
There have been some standout one off performances from the opposition combined with our poor performance on the day that have skewed it a bit such like MK Dons and Notts County away.

Rupp is a sleeping owner, there’s lots of these in the work place
sparks is doing ok keeping it financially sound
The football side is a different matter and no place for him..

    Draw a line here

sack gent, put a knowledgeable Director of Football in his place
Let GA hire and fire the players and run the team on and off the pitch

Rupp doesn't have the required knowledge, time or location to get the next appointment right. He'll be relying on Rhodes again and look where that got us. He has until the end of the season to consult with various independent footballing bodies or people, to either sell up or put in place a structure for footballing success. If nothing changes then I fear for the future of our club.

Sparks was asked the question about a director of football by Raynor and he didn't think we needed one. It just shows the arrogance of the boy.

    Good post
If it doesn't give him the impetus to act and act quickly then we really are in deep Sh1te
My only fear is he turns to captain admin for guidance which would be an unmitigated disaster
Rupp really doesn't have any contacts/interest in football other than JR so where does he turn !!!
Hopefully he revisits some of the offers he's had and does some serious talking albeit with a weakened hand
We will see in the next week or so which way he turns if any
RS job must be well and truly in the balance if Rupp stays he has to go if Rupp sells he will go anyway
Yesterdays debacle could well turn out to be a good day for us

What is pointy shoes up to these days? I wouldn't be against him coming in as CEO on an interim basis and being involved in the recruitment process for the next permanent CEO. It would certainly be better than having JR anywhere near it.

Been saying for ages Sparks and Gent need to go (please Stefan, you must see this after yesterday) but the challenge then is who sources their replacements. Its a real dilemma.
Do we trust and have sufficient faith in GA to build his own recruitment team, particularly when his own position is somewhat up for question?
We need the changes for the sake of the club but also need some longevity in whatever we do or we will never truly progress

Here is the question for both Sparks and Rupp. How would you judge success? Do you think that we have been successful on the football field during your tenure?

That is it for me a football club primary goal is to be competitive and progressive and have both short term and long term plans in place.

They should both be considering their future after this season especially but for the last 8 years. They both need to be honest with themselves and the fans. I have felt like mushroom for years now. Kept in the dark and fed on BS.

In all of this there is one man that’s under the radar getting off Scott free here, and that’s Mark Lawn

Yes he did lots for the club with his own money but.
    .
He clearly sold to the highest bidder and did zero homework on who was going to be the new owners and what their plan for the club was.
Getting a return for his investment was seemingly all he cared about.

He must have known at the time that Rupp had zero interest and was the money man only and if he didn’t, why not?
What checks he did do on Rahic?

IMO Lawn threw all fans under the bus allowing those two muppets into our club

Having an absent owner with no interest in day to day running of a business with no intention of spending a penny more than his investment, or overlooking who he employs was never going to work, and very rarely does in any business

I disagree. We’ve been tanked on more than one occasion. We are worse. Some are better. MK away could have been 10.

Please no! He absolutely did not give a shit about fans, he was only about maximizing profits and meeting Lawns objective of not just being sustainable but reducing the deficit.
Opening up the entire stadium on an unreserved basis for an FA Cup quarter final where season ticket holders couldn’t not only get their own seat but actually couldn’t get any seat has to rank amongst the worst decisions ever made.
I spoke to him on the phone that day and I bet his ears were still ringing hours later.

According to the fan who spoke to Rupp yesterday Gibb wants 5 million for the ground and he is looking into this as the rent is crippling us. The budget was initially 2.3 million for this season but he didn’t think it was enough so he added another 500 thousand to the budget. It might be a good thing that he saw how atrocious we were yesterday because had we won 1-0 he’d have left thinking that things aren’t too bad. I believe Sparks is throwing Rupp under a bus and bulling himself up by saying he doesn’t need to invest anything as the club are self sustainable. Also the comment at the forum that he was to keep us in the EFL and stop us going bust was just when Sparks took over when we were 23rd in the league and I don’t think it’s an ongoing mission statement. I think Rupp can still save this by sacking Sparks, replace him with someone like Baldwin, negotiate buying back the ground and investing in the playing budget. Otherwise he needs to sell if indeed there is a serious buyer out there.

You and I and probably thousands of other fans judge success by what we see on the pitch and whether we achieve promotion or not after so many years. I simply don't believe that Rupp and therefore Sparks measure success in the same terms.

Sparks let the cat out of the bag when interviewed by Raynor not long ago. His two criteria for success are being able to balance the club's books each year and keeping the club in the EFL. There was no mention of seeing the club progress. No reference to getting promoted. If they are Sparks' measures of success then I doubt very much that they are any different to his boss's. Some fans already understand that; the rest of us still have to get our heads around it.
