Question For Those Currently Not Intending to Renew [Trolls Not Required]

Top post, I'm sure thousands would agree ....

 

I will not buy another ST without material change in the ownership and executive leadership at the club.

I have zero interest in investing my time money and more importantly my time, in an unambitious, amateur operation.

 

I won’t be renewing and it’s purely because I refuse to give Rupp another penny of my money.
I don’t hold it against anyone who does renew but for me it doesn’t feel like my club at the moment.
We have nothing. No soul, no leadership, a terrible team, nothing to call our own. A stadium we are paying through the nose for on a pitch that is the worst in the EFL.
I don’t like anyone at the club. I don’t like the players, I don’t like Gent, I don’t like Sparks and I don’t like Rupp. Why would I waste my hard earned money to be continually let down? Not anymore. I’ll be back when I feel like I aren’t having the piss taken out of me.

 

I think the atmosphere could be better in the stadium next season similar to cup matches where for the most part fully committed fans will be there.

 

I didn’t renew this season for the first time in over 20 years.

Initially I told myself I wont renew still Sparks has gone, this changed during the car crash that was the ‘fans forum’. When the remit was to basically stay in the football league and stay financially viable. I can’t get on board with that, a football club, like many other things in life should always have ambition and striving to be better and that isn’t going to happen under the current regime as ambition would come at a financial cost which the owner clearly isn’t willing to foot. So removing Sparks and replacing him with someone else who would have the same remit isn’t really going to change anything, so for me Rupp and Sparks have to go before I put another penny of my money into the club, I have even stopped purchasing I follow passes now.

Saturday afternoons became so boring and I have found far more interesting things to do with my time than sat there watching some well paid so called footballers run around not doing a great deal.

I fully understood that season ticket prices had to go up but the timing was just so so poor when the product on offer is absolutely dire, pair that with the torrid condition of the pitch. If Rupp had any ounce of interest in the club he would have used his own coin to get stuff put right between now and this time next season then increased the prices of the season tickets and it would have felt justified.

That’s just my 2 pence worth, whether it’s right or wrong who knows but it’s what a forum is about right!

 

This. I feel exactly the same. I've had a season ticket since 99. This will be the first year I haven't renewed. Always been pretty much a glass half full City fan, but there's simply nothing to get excited about anymore. Going to watch this side is quickly becoming a chore, and following 6 years of being told they (Rahic/Rupp) were going to take us to the next level, and doing the complete opposite, I've finally broken.

I still love club. I'll go as and when and pay on the gate if I fancy it, but I cannot hand over £250 (Plus the same for parking) to a disinterested owner with no ambition to drive the club forward. Coupled with a CEO who simply chances his arm season upon season, without having any real idea or plan, ultimately relying on nothing more than luck to advance the club.

Theres too much hot air and too many sound bites for me. Its clear were going nowhere, and without a change at the top, it'll be exactly the same again next season. If Rupp sells up, I'll renew and get one each for my twin boys. For now, that's me done...

 

Makes sense.

I mean, how else would the club know who wants one or not. It's not like it's that simple to just tick a little box on a computer screen when renewing.

Customers should understand the complexity of providing such an extreme add on and applaud the club for such flexibility.

 

Yep, it'll be just like that completely manufactured improving home form you talked about just before the Donny and FGR home games.

 

To be fair,in those two games we got one more point than a lot of us thought we’d get.

 

@Park bantam will be along in a minute to tell us all how good the two performances were, how it was an excellent battling point and how we're well on course to meet the objective of promotion.

 

I’m not replying to Park because I know he’s just on the wind up, but folk need to get rid of this idea that some supporters are “chaff” or “not fully committed”. The people in question don’t complain about the chaff or the un committed when the stadium is full, the atmosphere is rocking and the club are raking in a fortune in tickets, merch and food/booze, it’s pathetic that they want less fans through the door so they can feel superior.

 

Luckily very few on here care what “you think.”
If you think losing 1000s of fans is due to a lack of commitment then there is no reasoning with you.

What a disgusting post this is. I have had a season ticket for 20 years and have a 400 mile round trip for every home game. Yet if I choose not to continue to perpetuate the incompetent running of this football club by not buying a ST, then I'm not a committed fan according to you? You should be ashamed of the nonsense you post on here.
