But Dave the product has been generally shite because of the owner and his strategy! Or lack of one.

    That’s the issue at hand.

Exactly, the bottom line with all fans is what happens on the pitch, it puts bums on seats and smiles on faces.
If we had a bit more success than the garbage we've had served up over the last six years or so, then they'd be no calls for anyone to sell, and they could be as reclusive as lord Lucan, no one would care.

As regards season tickets, if I had the option of a free season ticket for Anfield or paying to watch City where Scunthorpe are now. I'd honestly opt for City every-time. Going to VP on a Saturday, then out with pals for a few is ingrained in me. It is a part of my social and leisure time I thoroughly enjoy. I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Yes, we're crap, and I'm as cheesed off as anyone else, and if Mr Rupp would sell up and do one, then great.
However, back in the early 70's when I made my first trudge down VP, we were as crap then.
I have an older Sister that used to try and coax me to Elland road to see a team in their pomp. Even then as a 9 year old boy, it wasn't going to happen.

That isn't me being a super loyal fan or anything, it's just how I roll

I've held a season ticket since my old man started taking me since the age of 3, barring a couple of seasons where I had external things going on.

I've made my mind up not to renew due to a complete lack of confidence in Ryan Sparks knowing what's required to take this club forward. That lack of confidence is also in Rupp who himself is disinterested and is happy to let an incompetent CEO run the ship, so long as it is staying afloat. It's a morbidly grim outlook on our current situation as a club and that grim outlook is translated to performances on the pitch.

I would renew with Rupp as owner only if he replaced Sparks with someone who gave us genuine confidence they knew what they were doing short and long term in running a football club; outlining their plans and how they intend on delivering them as well as some kind of guarantee that a decent consistent investment will be made, as promised by Rupp years ago, to get us out of the mess his business partner created and to take the club forward.

As things stand, Sparks is merely rolling the dice week by week hoping that we don't go down and that we have enough money in the kitty. It's quite literally just a case of keeping your head above water awaiting rescue from somewhere without knowing how to swim to shore and move on.

I haven't attended since the Stockport game and I can hand on heart say I've not felt like i've missed anything. It pains me to say it but my Saturday's have been more productive and certainly more enjoyable. All I hear from my social circles of those who have been going is just constant moaning about how bad and dull it is at VP, everything from the match, the crowd, the matchday experience, everything is on its a*se and there's no incentive or appeal whatsoever at the moment in going again.

As others have alluded to I would happily pay on a match by match basis if things improved behind the scenes over the summer and that was translated onto the pitch but for now I'm out.

Your post is unfortunately very indicative of the current apathy surrounding the club.
    It's certainly a worrying trend.
Supporters views should be taken seriously. The issues surrounding just about everything City these days gives out nothing but negative vibes so it's no wonder fans get frustrated and angry with the club.
Even the season ticket campaign is causing multiple problems for people just simply trying to renew.A task that quite honestly should have come with simplistic Instructions mailed to every current season ticket holder well in advance of a launch date.
I met a City supporter of many years today who was incenced by the fact a plastic card would no longer be issued.
A small issue to some but to him a huge one.
Before you say well we need to move with the times I get that totally but it's all about presentation to the customer, this is it and this what we are doing doesn't cut the mustard with me at all neither does the way the atmosphere section is being dealt with.
Moaner I might be but in my opinion we are top of the league when it comes to upsetting supporters young and old.
I would have substituted the word upsetting for something stronger but I'll leave that to you the reader

What happend Tuesday night was no suprise to many, I wish I had a £10 note for every time a team near the bottom of the table have turn us over at Valley Parade, even accepting FGR were in their best form of the season we have to beat teams like them.

This is where we differ Rupp is the owner and as the owner he deligated in the past to Rahic then Julian and recently Sparks with regards running the football side of the business, 'm not sure he can be blamed for the lack of success on the field, having said that I'd be happy if he sold up and we got an owner who was a little more hands on, fans actually seeing our owner taking an interest and attending games.

    Only for a selected few.
Youths, Juniors, and supporters requiring accessible facilities, along with their personal assistants, will have the option to request a complimentary physical plastic season ticket card - the procedure for which will be communicated in due course. A physical plastic season ticket card will be available to supporters without access to a smartphone, for a nominal, one-off fee of £5 - reflecting the club's continued commitment to sustainability.

that is symptomatic of the whole club at the moment. You had to check that they were still available as the announcements were not clear about who they were available to,

did they say if you needed a new one or if old ones would be updated?

Digital ticketing will become standard practice from 2024/25. Consequently, the traditional plastic season ticket cards will cease to be operational from the start of next season. Supporters are asked to verify their email addresses, to ensure they can be issued new digital season tickets ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. These digital season tickets can be integrated into Apple Wallets and Google Wallets as part of our all-new ticketing partnership with Ticketmaster. Additionally, each supporter will be emailed a PDF attachment featuring their digital season ticket, ensuring compatibility across all smartphone devices.
Might change my name to Pinocchio Bantam then going forward.

I get that @bantamlad92@bantamlad92 and do understand, yet you find time to put your opinions forward on this forum, that is not a pop at you but a realisation that even though your not attending you still have the club at heart and do ultimately care.

How about getting the media team at City to produce a simple tutorial video on how to renew your season ticket with a family and friends segment included.

I blame Rupp 1000% percent. He hires he fires. He funds or doesn't fund. His choice. Ultimately he doesn't give a shit and that is showing loud and clear across the whole club. Survival being the only objective.

Without financial injection your last sentence from "If he sold up" won't ensure any more success ( or lack of) than we have right now.

However I get why he isn't investing any funds I doubt he trusts Sparks to spend it wisely.

    What a shitshow.

I don't disagree with your above he has hired and unfortunately they have been poor calls Rahic being the worst, his lack of football knowledge has to be the major factor in his past appointments, Rahic shafted him I still shake my head with regards how nieve he must have been to take on a virtual stranger and give him free rein with his brass and our club.
Julian was a make weight and was only ever going to be in his position until someone else has found were given to believe Ryan was Julian's chose obviously with Rupps backing and is working to his bosses request sustainability.
All turned out to be bad appointments but I don't think any Bradford City fan doesn't realise why they have turned out to be poor appointments, I would think any other business owner wanting a CEO would make sure of what was required before appointing them, in our case it's pretty obvious that hasn't been the case unless it's all about the owner not having to put his money into the club as it is self financing.
I can't think of another business that fails year on year and the man at the top keeps making bad decisions with regards his CEO appointments.
