Clearly not “a yard offside” as some are saying.

Although a likely offside goal a very poor performance, I always worry after an extended break.

 

Without a doubt, it's a Yorkshire derby we know Doncaster are up for it but he won't let the game flow, having said that a Doncaster look the better team, from Wycombe to this sh1te.

We need to change things around.

Odour is not a central midfielder, he is playing like a number 10 in there. I've been quite impressed with him recently, but he needs to be much further up the pitch. It is good to have attacking intent, but Odour/Kavanagh/Wright/Cook looks excessive.

 

Felt like every minute of that half was played like the 95th minute and we were trying to come from 3 nil down.

We want the energy and effort but that was headless chicken like. No control of the ball. Every attack is frenetic and trying to be too quick and get ball up the pitch far too quickly.

Not sure Smallwood would have made much difference to be honest because the midfield had been pretty much bypassed. Very disappointing half.

 

Well, I got the formation right but I agree Oduor isn't anything like up to it in midfield. I think it's been done to shoehorn Wright into the side but he's been poor. I'd take him off bring on Richards, move Gilliead into the middle and let Oduor play where he's been so effective in recent games

 

Appalling officials . Ref terrible , linesman got that really wrong.

Now us

Gilly in the middle instead of Odour , Wright off and Odour further forward .

Richards in wing back role instead of Gilly.

They are “old manning” the referee. Yet still deserve the lead.

Why has GA changed Odours role ….as a result two front men are isolated and Wright might not as well be on. bonkers!

They’ve definitely edged the game so far.

Odour wasted in CM and subsequently leaving Macdonald exposed. We’ve not been able to get our foot on the ball which is meaning Cook has had very very little service.

Goal looked easily offside. Laughable when you consider Halliday got flagged offside down the right when he was at least a yard behind the ball.

Officials have been terrible and ruining the game.

 

And the linesman was nowhere to be seen, he didn't flag because he was not up with play

 

Clearly the way forward. If he's got any bottle he makes that change now and we win this.

 

I always find when you've had no game for a while any momentum you may have had is lost. It's a little disjointed and I hope that first half was enough to shake off the cobwebs. Fingers crossed we come out a much better side this second half.

 

Wright doesn't look the same player we had before. Maybe his confidence is low right now but I wouldn't change the side to accommodate him. Two left backs on the bench…

 

Red card inevitable second half regardless of anyone defending this official he's an absolute joke, seven yellows hardly a free flowing game is it

 

Ref has had a couple of games this season where he’s issued 8 yellows,so still a couple to go yet.

 

why oh why do we play so poorly when attacking the kop first half of games.
Richards should have been in from the start, gilly into midfield and odour up with Cook and Kav, simple.

The picture Dimitry posted the linesman is 4 yards behind play, so he couldn't make a call one way or the other

 

off work ill today, but that first half made me feel really sick.
Off side or not, we have done nothing to threaten scoring a goal.
