For those that champion the cause of a sustainable football club...

 

Read/ heard a news item recently (can't remember exactly where) about Middlesborough FC increasing ST prices by 6% making the cheapest Adult ticket over £500 (most appear well over £600). I guess that's roughly what we would be paying if in the Championship.

But the real interesting part was the alleged fact that another CC club had worked out that despite ticket price increases, and because of increasing costs generally it would cheaper for the Club to pay each fan £10 to stay away each week and have an empty ground. Maybe an extreme example but if true, another example of the revenue required the further you go up the pyramid, and that ST revenue becomes relatively less important.

 

Not sure which of the many threads to post this into, but here goes....what would be your thoughts if they chose City? Good thing? Bad thing? A Wrexham/Salford-type circus you would rather not be a part of?

 

We can only dream, the experience and network the three have is mind blowing
