I suppose it depends on the readership and circulation numbers. If it’s small fry then he won’t be too concerned. Saying that, to be the first German investors and then to fail, won’t be good.

I have no idea what sort of circulation that paper has but the fact a German paper printed the article isn't good for the two German investers I would have thought.
I would think the German readers would prefer to read of German successes rather than what is turning into a bit of a nightmare.

Apparently the circulation of Die Zeit is 520,000. Although an ‘on line’ publication, it is based in Hamburg in northern Germany. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Zeit
Rupp’s firm is based Landshut in South West Germany (Bavaria?).
To give some comparison, the Yorkshire Post’s circulation in 2017 was reportedly under 22,000 whereas the T&A apparently has a circulation of 16,500.
So theoretically a much larger audience.

You’re assuming Rupp cares? The stories I’ve heard are that he isn’t interested. Make of that what you will, same HP has been right before, has been wrong before.

He may not care, I'd suggest no business man likes to hear criticsm of his business, I would assume he's like most humans he enjoys praise about what a good job he's doing in his new venture.
But yes he might be go down the road of the Oystons if things get s****y.

for his own sake i hope he doesn't.
Oystons house was quite secure, i watched the video where there was protesters outside. I used to deliver the T&A to the house that Rahic lives in now, you can just freely walk up the drive to his house. (He can see the stadium from his living room window too)

I like that it’s hit the German press. I hope and expect that Rahic is really embarrassed. He should be. It’s not like whoever fed the info has made it up. It’s not new, it’s fact and whoever did it is doing it for the right reason. It’s to make things change. If Rahic wants it all to stop it’s a really easy fix for him. Change or leave.

Agree that it's good the problems get a wider airing, especially back in Germany from where pressure might be brought to bear. But, I'm not sure that either changing or leaving would be easy for him. He has his model of how things should be, like others have a fad diet or crank religion, and all are convinced they are right. If our steadily worsening performances and league positions along with managerial uncertainties and increasing supporter unrest over the past few seasons haven't got the message across, what will? Pressure from Germany could be one factor. One lives in hope...

As Rahic has in effect emigrated, then the only person who has influence and maybe effected by the article is Rupp.

Not necessarily. Didn't Edin state at the fans forum that he may try for German investment.

He might have found German investment easier to get when we were in the top 6 for 6 months before our season blew up in our faces over the New Year.
Imagine asking an investor to stump up money the situation were in, or worst still looking back how the club have performed under his tenure.

I just can't see it getting better. Who's going to invest at the levels R&R did, when we're in League 2 with 6k season ticket holders?

Can't see them accepting £2-3m for the club having paid £5m ish.

I dont believe they did. Its all financed nonsense.

As far as I am aware. Lawn and Rhodes are still owed money from the deal.

Meaning there paying in some kind of instalments.
