Greg Abbott against Hull after Eric "Cash" McManus got wiped out by Billy Whitehurst.
Best performance and a brilliant day out in the delights of Humbershite

You are thinking of Tony Clegg who went in goal but yes one of our most memorable days!

There you go. That's old age for you. Clegg? Could have sworn it was Abbo. Billy was something else though. I think Cash went off just to stay safe

The best keeper ever to play for us (well, in my lifetime anyway).

    He’s also my no.1

His save from Duncan Ferguson in the FA cup game at Goodison is probably my favourite save ever from a City keeper.

Everyone's forgotten Carl Shutt. Didn't he keep a clean sheet at Wolves ?

Phenomenal wasn't he? I honestly think if United and Arsenal hadn't been well stocked with Schmeichel and Seaman he'd have gone there. I was always surprised Liverpool never came in, it was a time when they struggled for Keepers.

I remember being at his debut, away at Charlton. We'd signed him as an unknown, unheard of keeper. It was the single most impressive debut I've seen from a City player, ever. He was ridiculous.

I was behind him in the queue at the old WH Smith on Broadway when he was buying a History of Bradford book.

    I was a bit awestruck

He was actually playing for Man City reserves against City reserves on trial from Kaiserslautern and had a blinder against us, I was actually there as I used to love going to reserve games. Man City coach told Kamara and Richmond that they couldn’t afford the fee- Imagine that nowadays-Richmond then did the deal with his German club and he joined us for about £250,000 a few days later.

Ah yes, the good old days, when Man City were a football club and not Abu Dhabi sport washing Inc.

We’ve had some good ones in my watching years:
    Tommo
    Shwartzer
    Combe
    Walsh
    Clarke

Tommo raving mad. I remember a terrible pass back leaving him charging forward for the ball vs Port Vales Tony Naylor. Tommo got there first but was out of his area. He simply nutmegs Naylor and sweeps the ball to our full back. A man ahead of his time doing something that Ederson or Allison would do!

Wasn't the "legend" that he was on the plane to come and sign for Man City and we hijacked the deal ? Probably the single best bit of business we ever did under Richmond

Hard as nails as well apparently, and deemed to be the *@?$ of the club whilst I played there, (not that I saw anything going off - just talk). Born in Halifax and played 148 games for them, then Swindon 274 before racking up 225 for us.

My favourite - Jim Rollo (only joking), probably Gary Walsh, although to be fair, over my lifetime, this is one position that we seemed to have been blessed with very many good/decent goalies - that I would find it too difficult to put in any particular order.
