Why do our fans (collectively) see that Osadebe is fookin shite....and our manager not only sees him good enough to start, but doesnt make any provisions on the bench?

Why does Richards keep standing behind Smallwood when we have free kicks on that side? It makes no sense. Smallwood is going to always cross it and it’s shown a couple of times we’ve struggled with their counter. He should be back with Halliday to stop the counter

 

Hopefully GA will sort it out at HT ala Notts County ... Take 'him' off and replace with McDonald and push Gillead up to fill 'his' position ? Oliver would be good if we need a latish equaliser (god forbid) or glorious victory 3-2

 

Are we missing Walker no one who can hold the ball going forward that could have been 3.

 

As good as we've been lately, this is a woeful 45 minutes. Not sure how he changes it but fair play to Morecambe, they've looked decent so far. Without Walker or Pattison the whole dynamic of the line up looks wrong. Midfield gone back to being passed through by the opposition. Poor old Osadebe looks like a rabbit in the headlights.

 

Looked like that was nearly 0-3 if it wasn't for the knee of Cook

 

Pitch is fine, City are atrocious.

 

Really poor half. Scrappy, sloppy, sluggish and off the pace, poor on the ball, slow off it. Not good enough. Not the only poor performance, but Osadebe sets the tone/characterises performances like this. Erratic and weak.

Big challenge for GA at HT.

 

Rabbit in the headlights was exactly what I was thinking. He's totally lost out there.

 

Morecambe have committed men on the counter which is clever.

They've done their homework. They set up deep. Even giving Lewis or our defenders lots of space to come up the pitch and then wait for big kicks up the pitch. Then they try and win the second ball and break in numbers.

What we need to do is not just hoof the ball up the pitch to Cook but instead take time to pass the ball around a bit. The problem is, aside from Gilliead, there isn't anyone confident at controlling and passing the ball.

First goal was dead lucky, second wasn't. It's what they set up for. We've played right into their set up. Alexander needs to earn his money here and switch things up in the second half.

 

Can anyone recall a single player having a shocker for us as Osadebe is today?

No Pointon, Chapman or Pattison all players who could have done a better job than Osadebe, not sure we have anyone on the bench who can play the Walker role, maybe McDonald on and allow Gilliead a free run ?.

 

Apart from the odd goal he is shocking most games he plays. Osadebe is not a footy player

 

A clearance bounced off him . Jesus wept ! I can blame him for lots of things but not that .

 

Because we've no other option I'd go with Oliver, play all 3 up front and go even more direct than we have been.

I just can't see any other option unless we just continue to limp on with 10 men.

GA, even if by some miracle we end up with something, you've seriously got this selection wrong!
