Assuming Walker is out and Pattison steps in, we’re a bit might in central midfield. I wonder what McDonald had done to be left out of every match day squad since GA arrived? He’d be a useful player on the bench but doesn’t seem to be getting a look in.

To be honest, I couldn't fault him being dropped anyway. He's slow, we are direct and press hard, while being defensively resolute. McDonald can't go box to box and we have no need to drop Smallwood right now.

I think Pattison will play but there's an argument to suggest Chapman or Pointon might be better starting and give Pattison more minutes off the bench again.

He's had a long period of injury and I'd hate for him to be rushed back because of Walkers injury just to see him break down again.
