Cheers. Life took over a bit and was generally fed up under Hughes.

I get that he may be awaiting a job at a higher level but I'd have thought as with Mark Hughes its possibly the day to day stuff they miss, apart from playing that must be very satisfying especially if your a success at a club.

 

If I am being honest he wouldn’t have been my choice. But my profound hope and probably a forlorn one is that he is given a good chance before the sniping starts

I'm at a stage where it doesn't really matter who is manager.

We have seen a host of managers fail which suggests something higher up the foot chain being the issue.

I'll be honest, we have a manager who gets at teams especially at home, don't put everyone in the 18 yard box for corners, and goes out to win games rather than sends a team out scared of it's own shadow who constantly play it backwards it will be nice to see.

Probably the calibre of manager we're looking at now with the way the clubs been ran, obviously weary of the fact he's just been sacked by a team in the same position as us...but it was only 16 games

Will have my full support just like Hughes did, hope the comments about the type of football he plays are exaggerated, but if it gets us promoted then whatever.

What price did they introduce him at? I wasnt tracking the market but remembered seeing in posts on here he was evens and then 2/5. Hopefully he was 25/1 or something daft at one point though

Ultimately, Alexander (if it is him who takes the job) has a fairly good managerial record for where we are as a Club at the moment.

Unfortunately, I think with the time it has taken for us to make an appointment, coupled with the fact that MK Dons, who were winless in eight when Alexander left, did such a job on us at their place that night - has left many feeling underwhelmed.

When the dust settles and considering the 'available' candidates - I don't think it is the worst appointment, if not a little familiar.
