I’ve just read Barton’s Wikipedia page. If he does get appointed, our players are going to bricking themselves. I think Sparks too, and I don’t even want to imagine how Rupp will handle the guy. Let’s just say it’s probably best if he’s not offered a cigar.

Absolute wrong un. But maybe what we need. Would he be our first manager who has served jail time?

I think it could be someone who has overlooked the decision that he wasn't first choice, contacted the club and said let me at it I can get you where you need to be, or words to that effect ....

It generally means you’ve done something against the law. I think assaulting someone and causing grievous bodily harm, kicking someone in the head while knocked unconscious, are generally not the traits of a nice person.
However, I didn’t state that he’s a bad person, I said he’s a wrong un, and asked if any other managers we’ve had, have done jail time. Genuine statistical fact based history question.

More than double it , and I don’t give a crap what you or any amateur psychologists think. After coming out with a statement like “what is JR doing at City” , 25 years you say? Anyone knows anything about the club knows he’s a lifelong City supporter and he’s as much right as you and I to attend any game he wants , bar oneself it seems. People are complaining about Dean Holden but Scott Brown has far less managerial experience and worse stats than Holden. I’m not seeing the appeal.

 

It's more based on his leadership and hunger on the pitch. Also, the intelligence to re-invent himself as a player to get another 5 years out of his career, at the top level.
