    I see the following ‘spin’ has been put on the matter, ‘…Paul said that Cowley's daughter, who currently plays for Chelsea, is sitting her GCSE's and is about to get a call-up for England, so presumably the 45-year-old did not want to uproot his family to the north of England or he did not want to move away from them’. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/pundit-reacts-to-danny-cowley-decision-as-fresh-claim-made-on-bradford-city-job-offer/

    Deconstructing that information. His daughter has not, ‘just started to play for Chelsea or just commenced studying for GCSE’s since Hughes was sacked. To try and shift this onto his daughter, or suggest that all of a sudden he has become aware of her position, smacks of gross hypocrisy. In respect of her (potential?) call up for England, if she is that good, it will not reduce her competence if she relocates.

    More appalling nonsense. Why apply for a job, if you have no interest in taking it? I hope City don’t pay his expenses for the interview!

    If Cowley had no intention of moving North, why even bother getting an interview?
    Complete waste of everybody's time.
    Regarding a disinterested owner, I never saw the top man at most firms that I ever worked at, never made a bit of difference to my efforts I would like to think.

    Sparkes is way out of his depth granted but Cowley has totally spun this for the media attention. His situation didn’t suddenly change overnight. Unless he turned down an approach to come to be interviewed it doesn’t make sense

    Jamie Rayner saying that he has heard Cowley's want to stay in league 1 at least. This begs the question, didnt the numpty realise we are in league 2 when applying.
