Stefan hasn’t a clue about football, so who does he sound out for his valuation? captain admin?

A club, like a house, a car, or even tat sold on ebay, is only as valuable as the price buyers are willing to pay.

As you said, he’s minted and we are just a play thing. We won’t progress under his sustainable mantra so the clubs value will just stagnate. He’s holding us back.

at worst, he needs to appoint a DoF. At best he needs to clear off and move Sparks into a commercial role rather than CEO

 

Find this quite funny that Evans is regarded a ‘no-no’ but now Barton is ok! Hypocrites!

I couldn’t care less. I’d have taken Evans and I’d take Barton.

 

I said the same around Evans, 18 months ago. Too many on these boards were quite happy clapping Lawrence & Beagrie but Evans was a step too far!!

 

Its all just drama. They say they’d stop going but fans are fickle. When we’re winning matches they’d soon change their tune. Conga ing around the stands, sombreros on……

 

I actually agree with most of the comments RE Evans.
At this stage just get him in.
He’s no worse than Barton and fans are fickle basta*ds who won’t give a toss if we’re winning.

 

All football fans are fickle and hypocritical.
I’ve made my thoughts on Evans very clear but I’ll be front and centre celebrating whoever gets us out of this horrendous division that we’ve been in for far too long.

 

The current situation is getting a little embarrassing to say the least, its almost 4 weeks since Hughes went and although the sound bites coming out of Valley Parade sound positive I'm not sure that is the case, IMO this is last chance saloon for Ryan with regards bringing in a manager who can get us out of this division, even though Rupp is not a football man he cant justify his record whilst CEO.

Yes, as I put in another post, it can't keep being the Manager's fault when you've been through so many Manager's.
You would think Sparks has to get this one right.
In a strange way it might actually give the new guy more time. Sparks will be more reluctant to sack another one.

 

Don't think it matters whichever manager is up next
The problem is the man picking him and the man who gave him the job

So true. We need a new owner and CEO with fresh experienced ideas. If I win the lottery tonight .........

 

Fully understand , but until a buyer or consortium is found/ tempted, we are where we are and we know it’s unlikely to change ……no matter how much we jump up and down.

Doesn’t make it acceptable, but unless we find the answer on the field of play , we will remain financially viable for the time being at least . I’m 100% with all fans wanting a change, but realistically it’s unlikely we will see that change unless he has a second coming or that buyer is found.

 

Although I'd prefer stabliity, I'm not overly fussed about the number of managers. What does bother me is that we have gone for managers who have ripped up everything that their predecessor has done and started again with no attempt at continuity in playing style. It's utterly bananas and it's not surprising that it doesn't work.

 

The problem with him is IF he were to ever become boss, ( He won’t) the atmosphere would turn completely toxic if results didn’t improve very very quickly. And I mean toxic, far worse than a few boos. He’s more than a marmite character .

 

Maybe it’s an old fashioned view but I think self discipline comes from the top and what does Barton’s behaviour say to the players

 

And possibly hindered his long term management future, primarily because in football circles, he has perhaps put himself in a place where he cannot be trusted by recruiting clubs.

If these reports of reneging on the deal and the reasons given arnt true, he would have come out today and said so to the sporting press . He hasn’t as far as I can see. . Speaks volumes?
