Why? He’s a Yorkshire bloke unlikely to move out of the area and which other higher level local team could he go to?

 

A couple of points:

The Evans indecent exposure accusation was never proven.

The rumours of Heckingbottom being one game from the boot have been going on for weeks.

Having actually spoken to Joey Barton. I'm probably more qualified than anyone else on here to say that he's actually a nice guy. If he can contain his temper, he would probably do a good job.

He was more than happy to pose for a photo with me and my mate and had a chat with us before a game too.

 

THIS is what it's become. Folk speculating, joking that McCall coming back for what is it, the umpteenth time? It's absolutely shocking that we're now down to the bear bones and speculation. Cowley did the right thing imo. He came for the interview, got the job offer, went back to mull it over, and decided against it. Seems others have done similar and decided not to apply. The biggest mistake RS did, is close his briefcase and slapped himself on the back after that Cowley interview. Basically decided it was a given that the new manager had been found. Wouldn't be suprised if he actually told people applying that the job was done and dusted. Total shambles. Get a recruitment specialist in to do the job, don't do it yourself! Even the bookies haven't got a clue, they are just happy to take peoples money and put any unemployed recently sacked manager up on the betting odds. Where is the statement now from RS? He was quick to annouce on Tuesday when he was worried McD might let the cat out of the bag, how about now when the majority of the fanbase are calling the club a joke. And if he's hoping Trueman beating superior opposition tomorrow is going to bail him out, I think he's even more head in the clouds than I thought he was. ANY company, sporting or not, that lost its manager and hasn't replaced after five weeks, would have communication from those in charge. Rudderless boat we are!

 

Yep for the abusive words and behaviour but the allegation of indecent exposure that everyone goes on about was never proven.

Yes listened to it earlier oddly. Lives in the leafy suburbs of Surrey . Unless he moves , not a chance. Working that far from home life and family was bad enough for 6 months, never mind a two year deal.
