I don't see it. He had a higher win ratio at Bristol City than Nigel Pearson (44 v 41%) who everyone acknowledges is a very good manager.

Cowleys went to Portsmouth, subjected them to the mid-table. The minute they left, they've shown promotion form ever since. I'll restate. I'm confused why they are seen as so much better.

And under this owner we have gone from top of division one to the bottom half of division two.

You've picked some very selective data.
You need to analyse all the data and then come to a conclusion, not just the bits that suit your narrative.
I think it's called 'Confirmation Bias'.

We've had two managers who have had three promotions out of this division, in fairly recent times, between them.

It is "a hard gig" but mainly because the minute we have a bad run, we start moaning and they get sacked. Which, in fairness, you can argue is the fault of "the top".

For instance, I never agreed with Adams going. He should have been backed by the board, just like Wycombe did numerous times with Gareth Ainsworth - who eventually took them to The Championship.

Sparks should show some balls. He should tell us like it is, lie Hoyle used to do at Huddersfield, when they moaned ass soon as there were two consecutive bad performances.

No, but he could recall his £1.6 million interest free loan and put us in administration. Something Lawn threatened to do when he got some abuse at Accrington., only his loan cost the club 9% per annum, no wonder he wanted to keep his 1 million loan at the club,he could never have got anything like that interest rate when they dropped to about 1%.

Ditto. Last week I said Friday or today. I do now wonder if it’s an existing club manager, the legals and compo being agreed could add a week perhaps Jon? Makes sense, I suppose but hey who knows?

I think it’s in answer to others who take the negative view. Like most managers he has had failures but overall he had a good record in the championship with Bristol

I really hope you get the opportunity to see it first hand.

Win ratios are a particularly unhelpful statistic. Holden had the same loss percentage with Bristol City as win. He was also backed financially unlike Pearson. There was no wailing and gnashing of teeth when Holden was sacked as could be seen on One Team In Bristol after the announcement of Pearson's dismissal yesterday.

The Cowleys will be the first to admit they failed at Pompey, though even then they left them tenth in League One. I cannot deny Mousinho has done a remarkable job this season. In the two seasons Danny Cowley has managed in League Two his Lincoln team finished seventh and first. I believe he can repeat that success at the biggest club in the division.

I still think the brothers can succeed in League One but that it would be a mistake to take their next job at that level. Much better to take a team up from League Two and within a couple of seasons make a challenge for the play-offs there. Consequently I will be very disappointed if they are reappointed at Lincoln City.

Hoyle bought and earned the right to put his foot down, given he bank rolled them from L2 to the Championship. If Rupp did the same, he'd have every right to lay down the law. However, I don't think we're any different from any other fan base when it comes to 'moaning'. In fact, I think we're more patient and tolerant than most. We've been fed crap from basically 17 of the last 20 years.

Adams was never set up for success, and his personality was always going to be a problem. Managerial choices are contingent on how they connect with the fans. Its about just being a good manager. You have to be the right fit for the club. Far too many of our managers aren't.

I think you are fixated on the Cowleys they have done it at one club only. They if appointed do well here but I fear not

He wouldn't do that. He'd lose his £5m investment.

If he so wished he could slash the budget and start taking money out of the club like what has happened elsewhere then I would join in protest
