Unless someone is talking, they have the same knowledge as you and I. The market inevitably fluctuates based on wagers and the same sort of stuff we read.

The way the market has fluctuated shows clearly they know sod all.

My choice would be Marek Papszun if we are throwing everyone in the hat. Outstanding Polish manager who will end up with a Champions League club someday!

For me this is a no go. Graham Rix, Brian Kidd, and Terry Yorath (possibly Stuart) great number twos but never number one material.

 

I look at the list of prospective managers and realise that judging by the applicants, we aren't that attractive a proposition any more and the quicker the club and some fans wake up to that the better

 

Based on the current list I’d agree. However I know there are managers in current employment in divisions above us who, if they were out of work, would be really interested in the role and not afraid to drop down from their current level to take on a role with us.

I think we can all agree the club, its statue, fan base etc is an attractive proposition. However its operating model and current leadership leaves a lot to be desired and is probably a red flag for many out there.

 

Who is the right manager for us Fordy. I bet you can't name the person to make this club click.

Really and how do you come to that conclusion? Every manager has had a healthy budget but couldn't get a tune out of the players they signed Mac's just proved that apart from the MK game. Sparks has improved the commercial side of the business and pretty much leaves the manager to get on with his job and its time to give the guy a break, the managers he's brought in were all proven at this level and gained promotion except Hughes.

 

It’s the unrealistic pressure that could be putting people off. Look at the reaction the other night after the previous three wins and a draw

 

Well we are meant to be a big club in this division and that will come with pressure. Problem we have we are signing players that clearly can’t handle the pressure

 

It could easily be Dean Holden's agent, with a few jobs available out there it looks good for him if they say we are considering him. If we are interviewing people we'll probably have a shortlist of at least 5 or 6 and we've probably had discussion with a few more manager who we've decided against or they've said no.

 

Each to his own I suppose.
