Next manager

We missed the workrate of Smallwood, Walker and Pattison last night. In a team like ours with its limited passing ability and lack of pace its imperative we have that experience and graft to compensate. Not that i think it would have made much of a difference to the result, they were red hot on the night.

 

At least half a dozen managers have been favourite over the last 2 weeks.
Some go from odds on to massive odds against in a matter of hours.

They’ve no more idea than you or I.

The club are certainly been very tight lipped over any perspective managerial candidates.
Not like the good old days of the Valley Parade mole when the taps used to leak almost daily.
Obviously the culprit's no longer frequent the corridors of BD8, shame really used to like Chinese whispers from the ITK insider's within the camp.

 

Stephen Clemence is an interesting one. Read some good words about him. Lacks experience but you never know

 

They wouldnt interview two as just one would be the boss. It would be just Danny as the manager but he always has his brother as his assistant.

 

So trying to keep this thread at least half on track, what do people on here think is the plan regarding appointing a substantive manager?

A week ago such a question was met with contempt by some on here. Is it still the case that everything is in order, our CEO and Owner are on top of it, and no (real) fans should dare to question the lack of apparent process, and keeping a player in a temporary manager post ad infinitum, is the intelligent way forward.

 

Yes I know Jordan, I was responding to someone who suggested the Cowley’S were being interviewed this week.

Not sure what you mean about lacking experience… assistant manager on his CV. It makes no sense to rule people out that don’t have full managerial EFL experience. How much experience did MKD manager have pre last night. All non league Park?

I did like lee too...

 

But Williamson has managed for over four seasons and very successfully. Clemence, other than a couple of games as joint caretaker with Wednesday, has never managed.

Of course everybody has to start somewhere. But why take a chance on a shot in the dark rookie manager when a proven winner who has managed over 750 matches is available right now. Amazingly Cowley is actually younger than Clemence.

 

The CEO doesn’t know what’s happening himself and that’s half the problem at Bradford City. Certainly, on football matters.

 

I’m really starting to think the club leaks things out to test public reaction on social media. And think sparks is involved in this, the Holden thing today has come out of nowhere was linked weeks ago straight after departing Hughes. And today out of blue we hearing conversations have been had and he a front runner. The negative and fall out over the net makes me think this isn’t a genuine runner now, As he will look at the reactions today.

 

I would say one thing he will be aware of is the cost of employing a suitable managerial candidate having squandered thousands on payouts to the regime's under his tenure.
I doubt we will be paying big bucks to secure the services of the next manager through the door.

 

That's obviously nonsense... Apart from the fact it's ridiculous on the face of it, how would he ever be able to find a manager like that, given no matter what name is out forward probably 50% of our fans are immediately going to say they're shit?
