Most of the players have publicly said that they want McDonald to keep the job and I suspect they’ve been told or got wind of a new incoming manager to be revealed this week hence the shit show performance last night.
I fully expect us to lose at rock bottom Sutton on Saturday.
Grim times at the club, how much further can we fall?

Can not be true. The players are here to do a job, for which they are well paid. They can not help it if they are poor players though, that's the clubs poor recruitment policy. Some of the performances last night would not have been good enough for the Bradford Sunday league.

 

We just looked short physically. Maybe Saturday took a lot more out of the players than we thought.

We put on a shitshow last night because we got it tactically wrong. We had the slowest back line I’ve ever seen us have, with McDonald in front of them, and yet chose to play a high defensive line.

They went through us every time they went forwards, nobody picked up the midfield runners so Halliday was being pulled between the runner and the wide man often leaving the wide man in acres of space.

Yes most players, maybe all of them, had an off day but to suggest they downed tools is bonkers!

I’m not having a go at McDonald either - we just got it wrong in every way on the night, it happens

If not the present set up which is problematic then the Cowleys would be a good choice going forward with the skills to take us up

He lives nearby. The two MKD commentators were talking about it during the game. He attends lots of games when he’s jobless or “ his team” arnt playing.

 

Once again, why interview two? . I didn’t take my brother to my two interviews . We arnt having two managers again.

 

I keep hearing this they are professional athletes surely playing twice a week is not beyond them, to be honest that situation has only started recently.

 

No it’s not , advertisement normally have a 7 day closing date, week for sifting responses and arranging interviews for the following week and the week after for second round . I’d say a month from start to finish to include second interviews and contract /legal arrangements/ agreements, unless we had a one lined up…..clearly we hadn’t.

Gillingham are on exactly the same timescale probably after their “ update” last week.
