    Interesting. I have heard from a very reliable source, that the club held first round interviews last week. That one of the candidates is not on that list (not sure about some of the others). Next round of interviews next week, with Rupp coming over to be part of the process.

    I would hope Rupp penciled Rahic in for those interviews "he knows football" and still lives local I believe.

    How do clubs like Colchester , Accrington keep going financially 3000 and 1900 crowds yesterday. 1900 at £15 is is £28500 x 23 games is £655 500 less 20% tax £131 100 leaves £524 400 or just over £10000 per week. I know they have other income streams but that is crazy.

    Accrington have been funded a lot by their owner and his company although that looks like it is all falling apart as he's put the club up for sale yesterday after arguments with the fans and their assistant manager has criticised the decision not to offer them a new contract. Sounds like Accrington could be in a mess.

    What is it with you and apparently arrogant football managers? You said the same about Ian Evatt at Bolton and look where they are now? I couldn't care less how arrogant they apparently might be as long as they bring success to my football club.

    I'm not sure what you are basing the arrogant comment on. I know people who work at Huddersfield and the words he used to describe him are the complete opposite.     Definitely not a failure.

    I would welcome him here with open arms.

    From what I remember of him from his time at Lincoln, he really got involved with the local community and was well liked there

    Absolute rubbish, he had over a 50% win rate in the national league with Concord/Braintree/Lincoln as well as them being in league one/two. Then he went to town, the win rate was 32%, which was poor, but he kept them up. Then he went to Pompey and had a 43% win rate in league one.
    He's not really failed anywhere in my eyes, the stats are there in black and white. We'd be lucky to have him if he came here.

    My brother as a hobby does a lot of reporting on non league football for a community radio station in Essex. He has nothing but praise for the Cowley brothers in terms of how helpful and approachable they were.

    Cowley would be a mistake, Not unusual though in a longish line of mistakes by the present management, The club should be pulling all the strings it can to keep the present set up
