You’d like to think that Rupp & Sparks would have approached someone like Baldwin for advice or spoken to Jewell. People with ties to the club or even other DoF’s at other clubs. There must be examples of people out there working at smaller clubs with proven results who would like to take on a bigger role. There’s no guarantee, but it must be cheaper than throwing money away as we seem to be doing at the moment. Would you seriously inject more money into current set up based on already having 32 professionals in the squad? The likelihood is, most of it would be used to pay off contracts of players signed on 2 and 3 year deals, after having made less than 10 starts for the club.

I see your point. The point I was trying to make is appointing a DoF is probably as risky as appointing a manager. On paper the likes of Adams would have seemed ideal. In practice, not so

I'll be there, although I'm not sure why.

Tonight just feels like a match that's impossible to win, even if we pick up 3 points.

Supposedly sold over a 1000 for the game? I was thinking about going but that Walsall performance put me off big time, god bless anyone going

Hopefully it's night and day compared to Saturday (technically it will be), could this be the fixture we all quote in years time, the game that turned it all around :scream:

I’m going but it’s got to the point where I’m now hoping Hughes gives us something to boo about rather than cheer about

Cant help but feel that a win tonight would just prolong the pain and delay the inevitable

Even if by some miracle we manage to win this game we need to put a run together of 4/5 games where we are not only winning but winning well.

This will be the first match I've missed at Tranmere in a long time and in all honesty I'm really not that bothered.

Even if we win it will be tarnished for me because it feels like we're in limbo at the moment and will just feel like we're delaying the inevitable.

This feels like the Colin Todd and Peter Taylor days where I stopped going until they'd gone because I simply just didn't enjoy it anymore. I'm fact, if it wasn't for my kids (who are also both going tonight) that would probably have already happened this season.

Always a good away day at Tranmere. I usually go in the marquee behind the main stand before the game where they welcome away fans for a few over priced pints of flat lager.

Usually has the footy on if it's a midweek European night though.

Felt that for a while too.
Its the 2/3 Pints before the game in the Pub catching up with folk, and maybe a couple of cheeky one's after is all the solace I get from BCAFC these days. The 3pm - 5pm is pretty nauseating really. Think I'll be hibernating from Valley Parade once the weather turn's (And Im in the Bantams Bar!) . Im really that fickle these days. Mid 50's and BCAFC isn't the be all it appeared to be once. I only renew my season ticket these days out of blind faith and that Its get's me out of the wife's way for a few hours. Sad really

Looks like the vast majority (it's a small sample size, but whatever) on here are going to pay to watch the game from home.

Did someone also say 1,000 people travelling?

I keep getting told there's a crisis of apathy and fans aren't going/will turn away in their droves? There might be a growing issue of apathy, but crisis?

    Doesn't seem like it.

The City support in terms of numbers is fantastic.

Let's hope we all get our reward tonight.

Our support is fantastic yet there's some people (surely a very small minority) that attribute our struggle to being the fans fault, cheap season tickets etc. If things keep going the way they are then they'll certainly find out that isn't the case.

1000 on a Tuesday night in Tranmere, after a miserable start to the season and years of misery. Imagine if this clubs performances were linked to fan turnout/loyalty....if only

    Smallwood for Macdonald
    Pattison for Oduor
    Richards for Ridehalgh

    Are the changes i'd make.

MH can't afford to lose, but I don't think it matters if its a point away from home. Therefore I think Smallwood returns to provide a bit more "steady the ship" in the middle.

Would love to see Tulloch and Wilson on the flanks, but he doesn't play that way sadly.

Hope those who go, enjoy their evenings and the players put a performance on after the dross on the weekend.

Is it possible to get over to Tranmere in an hour? I’m waiting to see if he picks Oyegoke in central midfield before deciding whether to go or not …. I’m baffled by Hughes using him in this position. Just can’t see what he sees!
