I was talking to a Carlisle fan at a music festival in Bridlington over the weekend - he said exactly the same thing to me....

 

Every fan of every club in leagues 1 and 2 have all said the same thing yet here we are.
All the managers of opposing clubs say the same thing.
Between 2013-2017 we had dragged ourselves from the doldrums and were on the brink of being back in a division where we belong. It just needed a little bit more investment / risk / go for it attitude to get over the line.
If self sustainability and zero debt is all we have then we’ll be in this division for a very long time to come.

 

he's either gonna have to take a loss or put some money in to get our value up and sadly I can't see either happening

 

I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste but I like the new kit

 

One recent positive is people finally seeing that rupp is a waste of space

 

He was useless last season when he refused to sell the club to the Wagmi con men.

 

TBH I go for 'something to do' and if it doesnt involve a fee beers before or after it is a hard slog for just 'football'.

EOTD we all want a winning team but its just 11 of our men kicking a ball into some nets (or picking it out). Doesnt really make any difference to my life if we win or lose.

 

Totally agree these Americans have ended up disasters (I admit I wanted them here as to how devoid of any inspiration I am with Rupp).

Wouldn’t it be completely our luck if Crawley continue their form and are this years under dogs.

 

For all the talk of Wagmi, we’re still below them and got served to them on the opening day. Says more about or club than anyone else’s. We look at other clubs at what not to do and are often grateful for small mercies such as not being Bury, but if we’re looking for examples of failing clubs then we just need to look in the mirror.

 

Rubbish of course money is a big advantage however we had easily enough resources last season to get out of the league we are in and we have enough again this time.

 

So if that’s true then it’s the people spending those resources at fault??

Well I did see the lad warm up, once he had warmed up he sat back down never to be seen again.
With regards the original question I have seen nothing to suggest we will be in the mix come the end of this season from the 4 games I've attended, maybe some think I'm being harsh but this week will be a test to see just where we are as a team two away games to two clubs who I believe will be right up there come the end of the season, I do hope the players prove me wrong and we're still in the EFL Cup with at least another point from our away day at Mansfield where recently Field Mill has been a very productive ground with regards getting results.
