We have to be realistic,Darren Moore would never come to City,he fell out with Wednesday over his wages and transfer budget. Anyone mentioning bringing McCall back must be served with a season long ban on here. I wanted Pete Wild when we appointed Hughes but that ship has sailed now. No problem at all with Steve Evans but again that ship has sailed. Got a real problem as to who would come in for the job who would possibly be any good.

 

Hughes has spent the entire summer recruiting to play a 3-5-2 so we’re now stuck between wasted recruitment and diabolical tactics

I don't buy into this 'Couldn't afford Moore' etc etc, he only fell out with Wednesday as he expected a better salary after taking them up.
It would be a completely different scenario to come here (with Jakes no doubt) and maybe something he'd relish.
Then there are, for example, the Cowleys, Woodgate, Nathan Jones and Wilder, yes maybe they wouldn't be interested but hell there will be lots who will.
Not into Wild to be honest and the likes of Evans and Wellens have signed longer deals so they would be ruled out.

Whatever happens, Hughes now has to be questioned by the VP hierarchy - and very very soon.

well i had no early season optimism, so i have not lost that.
I just feel so disappointed already with Hughes, his tactics, players looking un-fit , too many injuries.
Why is it the same at this club year on year.
We need leadership right from the top and that is down to Rupp, absent owner is no good, time for him to openly say the club is for sale and to accept a reasonable offer. Let someone else have a go as he obviously has little interest in football.

 

Some on here play too much FIFA if they think 3-5-2 was ever gonna work in league 2.
