I've been out and had a few but if the Billy Sharpe rumour did turnout to be true I'd have a BBU bet that he would score double figures in league two even with the poor service Cook got whilst scoring 31 goals.

 

Soooooo...L2 on paper for this coming season suggests we in for an uphill battle. Now tbh I don't know about you guys n gals but me personally I always for whatever reason feel more confident / less nervous when up against a so called rival/big cub etc as oppose to an absolute nothing club way down South. So on that basis the more big clubs the better.

No matter how good a player is and a goals scorer at 37 the body and reflexes are fading Stockton isn’t coming so there is no point in the comparison

 

Not sure anyone believes Billy Sharpe is coming but a few on here need to take a chill pill, and lighten up, it happens every season most fans enjoy the banter.

Before I post this these are just complete rumour not gospel before anyone tries to come back with a 'sharp' response.

Someone on Facebook thinks that Jonny Williams and Charlie Wyke are done deals. I'd like Williams, thought he was the stand out player away to Swindon, very busy and has put to bed his past injuries. Wyke's a funny one with his medical issues, so not sure, however if he can replicate form why not. Both pretty good ages at 29 and 30.
Another couple of names I thought of were Connor Wickham just released by Ipswich, however suspect he'll get another league 1 move and Carlos Mendes Gomes at Luton who I suspect won't get premier league game time but scoring 7 at league one level last season, may be a bit out of our reach. I think what I'm trying to say is if we don't get the so called named targets mentioned in the previous posts, there's still a lot out there to go at.
