Why would we turn down a fee if Harrogate are willing to pay one?

 

I've no problems with us signing players on 3 year contracts, providing that we sign decent players.
Our recent history with recruitment has seen wholesale changes each summer as we look to offload the previous seasons flops. Usually as a result of the managerial merry-go-round.
We've then ended up with dross we can't move on and who just add to the wage bill i.e. Oscar Threlkeld
Fix the recruitment and whether they're on a 1,2 or 3 year deal only becomes an issue when we're trying to retain a player or some other club is sniffing around.

 

Good on both counts, he knows the writing is on the wall, so a common sense move for him. Good luck to him if the move happens.

 

Next signing already in "the pocket" and due to be announced by the end of the week.

In my opinion it’s the right thing to do take last summer for example we had a lot of players under contracted who were either moved on or loaned out only Threlkeld I believe sat it out. We lost Paudie Watt and Vernham all of whom if they had been under contract we would have kept

Gotta hand it to them, with United airlines jumping on board as main shirt sponsor they sure know how to attract the big names. With that sort of backing i can see them make some pretty big signings for league 2.

 

Has to be a big deal to unsurp Tik Tok eh....

It shows the reach of their product when sponsors are jumping on board that aren't really known or used over here. The new ground sponsor is a coffee company based in the US too, its crazy to think a league 2 football club has that sort of global presence.

 

That is crazy money for a league 2 club. I'd be surprised if any club outside the premier can beat those figures bar possibly the relegated premier league sides.
