Is that correct though, how many away matches this season have not been available to season ticket holders or even general sale? None by my reckoning even Carlisle in the play off semi had a small number on sale on Tuesday morning. So I think that gives plenty of opportunities for new away fans to very swiftly build up their points total.

Most games to season ticket holders anyway Kevin to be honest. Only barrow, Harrogate and perhaps Salford this year didn't get snapped up before the all ST holders had an opportunity to get one. It may have 13500 fighting for 300 tickets in some cases, but that's always going to happen regardless.

We could draw man utd in the cup and get 9000 tickets which would still mean 4500 and more missing out

They can catch up though if they are willing to travel to unpopular games on Tuesday nights.
There were plenty of tickets available for Colchester, Gillingham, Swindon, Walsall and Tranmere.
That’s 100 points right there not to mention the weekend / bank holiday away games such as
    Crawley, Newport, Stevenage, Carlisle.

so someone has a season ticket and travels to a couple of games away for 5 years that would take a new person 3 years to get same number of points even if the older person stops going

So if we ever reached the PL again you’d be happy that those who’ve travelled to all the shitholes lost their points to give a newbie the chance of an away day at Anfield?
    Give over

It’s an issue that doesn’t affect me of course, but a conundrum as long as we are in this division, and probably not much different with small ground allocations in higher divs.
Simple to register at every club ground at the beginning of the season and get tickets in the home sections if one is determined enough. There again I don’t have a BFD address . The only way they would get me is via cross referencing with City’s registered database. However did I give City permission to share my data with third party’s? Happy days.

Is it built in that details can be shared with other clubs and football authorities for reasons of crowd safety? I would think the third party is for marketing etc.

    I dunno. Maybe forever.
Does anyone know how long other clubs retain loyalty points in their schemes?
Peoples supporting habits naturally change over time depending on their circumstances.
    People pass away.
They move out of the area / Country.
They grow up and have a family / mortgage / other commitments.
All of which might prevent them going to as many games, therefore over time allowing other fans to catch up / overtake.
The time is now to start building up points by getting to as many games as possible so that in the event we reach the Championship / PL they are already ahead of the curve.

It's all elitism ballc@cks. Everyone should be made to queue up, in person and pay cash for every match. Just like the good old days.

    I blame Thatcher.

That’s OK, but when one can pay on the gate , like many of these then they don’t get acknowledged.

Then don’t pay on the gate if loyalty points are a concern. Buy the ticket from the club. It would have to be a very late decision to attend which would mean you couldn’t buy online and collect ticket from ground.
I think Swindon tickets were on sale until 9am that morning of the game.

From the benefits on the website
    1. Loyalty points - awarded almost immediately
    2. Retail offers - there was 1 offer that was exclusive period rather than an exclusive offer as it was offered to everyone a week or 2 after
    3. Mascot opportunities - No use for me which is probably the same for a lot of other people.
    4. Download gallery - As you said, not very good and only 6 of them which are membership focused rather than the club. Wouldn't be hard to do a few different player/club images that could be used on different devices.
    5. Competitions - I've entered the signed shirt competition a few times but never heard of anyone winning.
    6. Women's match tickets - Never heard of any details, could easily have made the Newcastle match free for members
    7. Hospitality discount - No use to me and never heard any publicity of it so no idea how many people have taken it up
    8. Ticketing discount - It says 5 games but I can only think of 1 which I think was Salford

Because of the loyalty points if you are someone who will be on the edge of the bands for a lot of games it's probably worth it but for those who aren't bothered about away games or go to the vast majority it's really not worth it. The scarf this year was poor for me and looked more like a Northampton scarf with purple and white, last years was much nicer and felt a bit retro.

They aren’t a concern you lemon, I’m making a point , whether you think it’s valid or not, that it perfectly possible to attend many away games especially in the south and not receive “loyal” or “ superfan” status.
