It’s a bit more like Stuart’s second season of his first stint hope it doesn’t end the same way

I feel confident that we're better than Mansfield. I've watched a few of their games this season, never been impressed in any of them. They were poor against Orient, saying that they'll go and win their last two games now lol.

For once then it might be prudent to play our game of pi55ing about for the first half, score too early and that could prove fatal ....

Well it's make or break tomorrow. Win and we'll virtually secure our playoff spot with probably only a point needed from the last two games. That and depending on other results we'd keep our very, very, very feint chance of automatic promotion alive until the final day where all sorts of nonsense can happen.

Need a fast start. They are bound to be nervy given what's at stake and we need to use that to our advantage. Score first and score early and I reckon we have a good chance.

I’m expecting a similar tactic from Northampton as the home game. Press, press, press. Ridealgh and Crichlow are susceptible under pressure, Gilliead tends to pass the ball to no one in particular when pressed and we saw from the last game that Smallwood has the occasional brain fart when you least expect it. I can see both Platt and Clayton returning for this game, with the emphasis being on getting a point or nicking a win late on.

Woken up still weirdly confident about today. Its a shame we don't have an on form left winger because unless they've found someone quick, Hoskins will be moved back to wing back again. Sounds like they might try the DM McWilliams at CB today too, rather than the two inexperienced lads from last week partnering Sherring again.

I reckon Platt will be back today in place of Crichlow, either that or he goes 3 at the back?. Either way, I think Platt will be back

We appeared to be more solid with Platt than we have for the last few games when he's been out. My only concern would be the time he takes to decide who to pass to. I can't see Northampton giving him anytime at all.

Platt was the player brought on last week to shore up the defence near the end, but was stood immobile when the bloke equalised, terrible defending.

Strange, I noticed that straight away as well, but nobody else seemed to mention it. Platt to me is just a hoof/head it clear defender, whereas Rom, more cultured. Just a shame he dropped a bullock, but that’s his only real mistake to mind. Platt might be more preferable for an Ariel bombardment, but not a play across the back game.

Please put Platt back in. Crichlow flattered to deceive cause he can occasionally bring the ball out or make a pass. We need a defender who can actually defend first and foremost.
