The Voice - Match preview Crawley Town vs Bradford City Friday 7th April @ 3:00pm

Our form has been pretty good in the second half of the season, the key is turning draws to wins. Managed it against Grimsby and if we can get a win against Crawley then it’s game on for the top 3. Nobody above/around us seems to look nailed on for a top 3 finish (aside from Orient) so it’s there for us to take if we can have a big push. As always, Friday is a must win.

 

With Hartlepool winning yesterday and Crawley getting thumped, they desperately need something from the game on Friday. That might work in our favour or it could turn out to be a really frustrating afternoon if they set up to park the bus from the offset to try and get a 0-0 draw.

 

MH will probably rest Cooky for this one with 2 games over easter may tire him

 

I do hope you're wrong a starting 11 without the league's leading scorer would give Crawley one hell of a boost, 8 games to play and 23 goal already I wouldn't like to be in Hughes shoes having that chat with Andy.

You’ve got to be kidding right? Prior to yesterday they’ve had a 10 day rest. He (should be) fresh as a daisy. I’d be absolutely appalled and pissed off if I found out he was dropped when we got there

 

He was dead on his feet by the end of the game yesterday. Ideally we’re a couple of goals up and cruising at the 70 minute mark and we can bring him off early. Although given how our season has gone I doubt it’ll be that comfortable.

 

I think the original question posed was more tongue in cheek, no way is Cook getting rested at this stage of the season with all to play for

 

I think Trevor isn't a fan of Hughes. I think his post was more a dig at Hughes' team selections than a realistic expectation that Cook would be dropped.

They will need to win but can we match their intensity?? That will be key.

 

I certainly enjoy the away games better than the home ones. Just a bag of chuffing nerves first half yesterday, expecting the worst and when their second went in , one massive face palm. Away games are the exact opposite. Weird, I know!

Me and the lad are in France as he's got an international football tournament he's playing in Saturday to Tuesday so we will miss this weekends matches.
He's gutted as we are on the ferry at 16:00 on Friday.
