Disagree, thought he was poor tbh. Thought he got caught out defensively many times, Thought his passing was poor, several times straight out of play. And as for his throw ins.....my under 6s can do better......

Against Stockport he was poor. Very Poor. Yesterday he better, quite a bit better. Still a bit rusty but put himself about and looked a threat going forward.

As you would expect from a player who has played little football this season.

A few wrote Halliday off early doors and he’s improved to become a solid right back for us.

You have a right obsession with him haha, he was marking someone for the goal do you want him to mark two players? Maybe the winger should try tracking back instead of standing there, it was injury time after all. You make Kevin look like a fan of Sutton.

I think that’s where a leader like Stubbs will command that back four. We shouldn’t be pulled so far out of position as we did yesterday. It looked like 3 of them were stood alone in the box when they scored. Neither Platt nor Crichlow are vocal enough to lead.

I’d forgotten about Stubbs when Hughes made the subs, I’d have brought him on for East instead of a winger and matched up their back 5. Poor sub imo, Nevers would have been better coming on for Eisa. I suppose the other side of the argument is if we’d gone to a back 5 and still conceded people would say it’s too negative. Best way to stop the blame game is take our chances and win.

lol fair comment. Maybe someone else should have been looking after the guys in the middle. We have conceded numerous identical goals this season. I just find it funny how many people jizz themselves over Halliday. Yes he is good going forward but he is a bang average defender and weak in the air. Just my opinion of course, and it has been pointed out to me that I'm a bit of a dinosaur for expecting fullbacks to be primarily good defenders.

He was tracking his runner who moved across from their left, had he left him and the ball had gone to him there would have been hell to pay only this time it would be justified. I can’t see any jizz over him but each to their own, I feel you made an early impression about him and need to justify been right. But that’s just my two pence.

All about opinions! I actually think he is better than I first thought, he's a tidy footballer but as I keep saying, old fashioned or not, I like my full backs to be defenders first and foremost. We have conceded too many goals to far post headers and in my opinion thats the full backs territory. If they can't win a header at least get in the way. By the way, from memory I don't think yesterdays was the worst.

Is that Nevers in no mans land?

the subs cost us the game sadly. Nevers and Chapman were poor. Sutton and Songo arent around to try help protect a lead though

I suppose East was probably tired, but I was surprised he brought a winger on in his place. I agree the subs were poor, I don’t blame the subs as it just looked disjointed with about 5 wingers on the pitch.

If Critchlow had been in the middle it would have been 3vs3 but he wasn’t. Halliday started the season slowly and has made errors but marking 2 men at the same time? He isn’t Dynamo.

Before Nevers came on, Hughes was telling him to get forward and also to track back. He jogged backed from around the halfway line, instead of busting a gut to get back. It’s typical of young attacking players who don’t see defending as part of their role. For me, Derbyshire and Oliver should have come on for Walker and Cook, with Derbyshire playing in the 10 role. Chapman is a confidence player and he doesn’t look to have any at the moment. If he can’t get on in his natural position, then I wouldn’t use him at all.
