The season so far....

Agree with everything apart from player of the season. Toss up between Cook and Lewis for me.

 

Orient & Northampton are there to be caught. Movement in the right direction with one defeat in 12. Happy days.

 

Them two have definitely earned us the most points.

 

This is the single stupidest and most blood pressuring inducing aspect of our fanbase, and is probably the element where fans have contributed most to our lengthy stay in L2. I'm not saying there aren't managers that haven't deserved the sack, but frankly half the time we're pushing em out the door ourselves.

 

Totally agree.

We've even hounded out managers who had us in the play offs...

 

To be honest, we aren't on our own in that are we ? It happens at the majority of clubs. If Liverpool dont win a cup this year the fans will be on Klopp's back. It's a sign of the immediate gratification that the world demands these days.

 

Agree about us in the big matches. Teams fear us far more than we fear them. Let's not forget the Hull and Wednesday victories either.

Clearly, we spook teams who are at least even favourites with us.

The form at home against the lower league clubs will probably be our weakness. But I've no doubt that we can get an average of 9 points from 5 matches, from now until the end of the season.

Mansfield fans were also impressed, Bemoaning why their team can't play like us and Swindon (who'd just put five past them) and citing that they feel they are way behind us.

 

Agree about the quality of the league. Crewe, just came and made it plain they were happy with a point - when normally they want to have at least commit to attacking.

I'm certain this squad would do well in L1. But if they can just be a little bit more pragmatic, particularly in these home games against poorer teams, then we'll be fine.

It's the home games against the likes of Harrogate, Colchester, Rochdale and Hartlepool that have me far more worried than say the Leyton Orient ones.

 

What's surprised me this season is that there hasn't been a single team that hasn't 'turned up' against us yet. 17 games in and you'd expect to see a few half arsed performances being put in. Every team seems to have given it a real go against us irrespective of the tactics used.

 

Shocking isn't it. At least half should just roll over and die.

 

But teams do. Including ours.

They sure are.

I could understand it if we were in the Premier League and playing dog dirt football.

But when you're in League Two, and people are complaining the football and the officiating is crap, why do we need to be playing anything other than crap football to get out of the division?

Bowyer getting sacked while we were 5th or whatever it was was a disgrace.

I'll hold that one against City fans til the day I die, I'm afraid.
