Home game please. Don't much care who we play. I'll be back in the UK for the weekend and it's my birthday that day - no, it's ok. You don't have to get me anything.

Doubt it. It will Salford, whoever they play, and a couple of southern non league clubs at home to league clubs

Totally agree Rod. Don’t get this “draw a glitzy team” and go out guff. Non league like Tonbridge were but in R1 & 2, get the prize money then think of glitz PLUS gate money.

I anticipate that there is more of a chance of a TV appearance against a none league team. I look back fondly at the games against Chesham and Dartford. Even Halifax away is more interesting than Plymouth away.

Halifax or York would do me. A game with bit of local pride at stake. Rather that than somewhere I've got to get the A-Z out to see where the feck it is

A low-ranking non-league side for me. Would like a reasonably easy passage into Round 3!! ;)

The BBC probably thought Harrogate were still a non league club!

Would love Alvechurch, close by, and weirdly I have played a competitive game on that ground. It might have to be switched though as it's quite basic. What are the rules?

The default is that the 'home' club shall host the match at their ground and, in theory, by entering the competition they are certifying that their ground is suitable to host any tie.

However, it is recognised that the police / authorities may raise objections to a non-league club hosting certain Premier League / EFL clubs and, therefore, in exceptional circumstances, the rules allow for a game to be switched. However, clubs will not be allowed to gain financially from such a switch.

The rules state, that if the FA agrees that a switch is necessary, then "the first alternative ground shall be the nearest ground considered suitable by the local enforcing authority and/or Police (taking into account all relevant circumstances) subject to the agreement of the Professional Game Board."

Furthermore "For ties switched from the ground of the Club first drawn, then the Professional Game Board shall determine the financial conditions in which the tie shall be played and this may include, any excess receipts to be paid into the Pool."

A club that moves a match also faces the prospect of a ban from participating in the competition.
