Would make a nice badge or car sticker. Not a club crest. Not a million miles away mind.

Fans asked for a shield according to the survey....

I think Bradford City round the top,and AFC on the bottom would look better.

Now that is a very nice redesign: clean lines, clear, gets in what is most important: the bantam, our name, and black. It looks professional, the proposed one looks childish. Moreover, the bantam is menacing, and has no confusing colour changes/added details that can be misinterpreted. Well done!

I could understand it if they had failed to get it onto the shirts this season.

But they haven’t failed, they were able to replicate the badge.

So if they and all the other merchandising avenues, where you currently see the existing shield/logo, have been able to overcome the ‘issues’, then it is not insurmountable.

All the time design and technology is moving forward. The ability to print and sew designs has been achieved and a number of producers are able to master the ‘obstacles’.

Always trying to ‘progress’ (sic) by making things more simple, in effect a ‘dumb down’ badge reflects poorly. Culture, history, heritage, and continuity count for very little.

Not sure why I don't really like it but it doesn't work for me. I think primarily it's the BCAFC which looks weird, I'd certainly have been asking to see a version with the B&C the same size with the AFC underneath. I get that they're trying to show that the "Bradford" has more emphasis than the "City" when it comes to our identity but it just looks like a typesetting mistake. Also, the badge needs a border, even just a black line around the badge would give it more definition.

The logo that iFollow use for our games is very good. It's our present badge set in a circle of claret and amber stripes

Using the Chinese vote counting method the results are, 85% of the dislike votes are not eligible. 85% of the remaining votes said yes, So the result is 85% in favor,

    Work is ahead it seems......

Bradford City AFC can now reveal the latest steps in its Your City, Your Say project, following the conclusion of the most recent survey.

The second Your City, Your Say survey launched on Wednesday October 5 and was open for one week, with supporters able to have their say on the proposed new visual identity. During this time, close to 3,000 responses were submitted.

Results show 53% of supporters want to see the club crest modernised from 1st July 2023 in line with the club’s 120th anniversary. However, of those who voted in favour of modernisation, the majority would like to see changes to the current proposal.

Work is now underway to incorporate supporters’ feedback into further proposals, which will be made available to vote on - alongside the club’s current crest - as part of a final survey this month.

Could I ask those who want the stripes in the badge what their rationale is? I adore the stripes (or hoops) and think they are fundamental to our identity but if we have stripes on the badge, the club will find it easier to have a home kit that doesn't have stripes, right? It seems like overkill to me.

Very dodgy the way they're wording the post. This has not been a good look for the club from the off. The club have been getting so much right but decide to bring a divisive topic into the picture. The new badge looks awful no point beating around the bush with it. Massive own goal from everyone involved at the club if this goes ahead.

Age old process of spinning the numbers how you want them to look.

They start off with "close to 3k" responses were submitted. So that's less than 3,000. Lets presume there's 20,000 members based on match day attendances (probably a lot more), then that's just 15% of the membership base who responded. That's not enough to get the full picture. And only just over half of that number want to see the crest modernised. So in numeric terms, there's about 1500 out of 20000 who want the badge changed. 7.5% of the membership fanbase.

Tbh, I can't see them ever getting it right, so it's probably best to just leave it how it is.

I think it is pretty obvious that the basic silhouette of the new ‘bird’ will remain. Which way it faces, if it has more detail, the C being altered in size, some form of shield, and a ‘football’ for the cockerels foot to rest on, are also highly likely to be incorporated.
