Talking of Adams, I see he is back to his old excuses of 'things going on behind the scenes that I can't talk about'. Always someone else's fault isn't it Derek?

To be fair to Adams, he probably has a good point. The Club has been up for sale for the last 6/7 months and is going nowhere. The owners are the same guys who own / owned Worcester R.U Club who have just been kicked out of all competitions due to Admin apparently £50 mil in debt. They sound very suspect reading press reports.

 

He forgot to say that Morecambe will never get a manager as good as him

 

Even a lot of their fans are not in favour of that. He is 'proven' as he left Hartlepool when they were above us, 10th if I remember rightly.

Let's be honest the media are often wrong and hype takes over. I had them scraping into the play-offs and that still might happen - we saw last season, with Bristol Rovers and Mansfield, that poor starts are irrelevant.

Apparently they were good against a Walsall team, that are the best that's been to VP (IMO) - Flynn though was very annoyed with his team.

Stockport needed to look at ourselves and Salford and realise that you don't sail through L2, because you've a good budget.

Either way, sacked manager or not - I see them as dangerous.

It's Morecambe who were the fools reinstating him everyone knows he's a poor manager some on here were saying that before he joined us
He's trotted out the same excuses at every club he's ever managed
I presume that all the bad things at Bradford he couldn't say on camera have followed him to Morecambe

Good post VW but I'm not sure Mark will like being called a manger. Just like losing, winning becomes a habit.

Agree with all of this Mr Weasel, sir. I would add to that...for the first time in years we have a manager who knows how to make substitutions change games. Yes, it's been benefited hugely by having a big, quality squad - but that's why Mark Hughes has signed them all. To come on and make a difference in the second halves of games. This has happened repeatedly over the last matches. The new laws on subs have benefited us because of the depth we have, but again, that's why MH is such a clued up manager. He's looked deeply at the new laws and worked out how we can benefit best.

 

Loving your positivism, General. And I would add to your thoughts...we're currently in and out, not dominating games as much as I would like, but...BUT we have that extra edge of quality now to win those games. I'm confident we will start totally turning over some teams in the next couple of months. And another reason for positivism, the eventual return of Walker and Paddy. For me, Walker has been one of the most impressive signings we've made in years. His skill and nous in linking up between midfield and attack has shown a proper, proper footballing brain. In the cold, muddy mire of Winter and into the Spring, his return, alongside Paddy, will be massive for us.

 

If they are bringing over 2000 and us on our good run, are we looking at breaking our league 2 attendance record again.
It will be a tough game; every other team are well up for defeating Mark Hughe's Bradford city.
Let's hope this is one where we really click.

 

I'm far more relaxed about Salford than Stockport.

 

He's not a poor manager. He's got three promotions with three different clubs and then went back and kept Morecambe up.

He was though poor for us, because he has to be at a club where he's the boss and the entire club evolve around him, we simply are too big for it ever to be about one person and don't like those types (i.e. Rahic)

Then, in fairness he usually does well - until the club have a bad spell and give him less of a chance because they've only stuck with him because he delivered results.

 

I'll give you the 3 promotions with 3 different clubs, but it's pushing it to suggest it was due to him that Morecambe stayed up last season.

And they picked up 12 points out of a possible 42 after his return. As I've said previously, they managed to stay up despite Adams, not because of him.
