Okay a lot has and is happening. What is your mood now. How do you see the season progressing and panning out.

Lets screw your colours to the mast (you can always unscrew them later;)).

Clearly your brief reasons as a post, would help others to understand your position.

As things stand then this team may well have a lot of potential. However it is how the whole project fits together which is far from uncertain. Potentially a whole new first eleven who are not even playing together in the 'pre season' friendly's. If they get off to a poor start, with a new and untried coach, will they be able to recover.
I think they have the ability to do better than last season, whether or not they can push on, into the Play Offs or, dare I say it, an automatic slot, is very hard to predict.

Signings have been different class compared to this time last year, however doubts still around the coaching team and whether they're good enough. But with quality players coming through the door we're giving ourselves a good chance.

I’m clueless. May have some good player, really not sure about the coaching set up.

No idea. Genuinely. Player recruitment has been much better than last season which is a big plus. Get Scannell in and a quality striker, and on paper we have a good side. There's still a spectre hanging over us from last season. Rahic is a divisive figure. Collins could be a train wreck or an inspired choice - similar to how everyone was 'Meh' about Southgate taking over England.

I have no idea what to expect. Which is better than I felt a month ago. A month ago I was certain we'd be going down.

I'm of the opinion, that we have brought many new faces in, some with limited game time and others that have played at this level, with a possibility of Scannell and Akpan with championship experience. Lots of numbers in rank but quality, experience..

Can the management team deliver? Can the fans keep the harmony with the owners? Can we gel quick enough?

I'm not sure what it all means for the season ahead.

I have always said, in this close season, that I would wait until the signings have been completed before trying to judge where we are at.

As the team stands I think we will improve our league position on last year but not by much. Two more decent signings and I would be happy to revisit my choice.

I just wonder of the T&A has 'leaked' this Scannell story to assist any potential number 9 targets in making a choice to join us seeing as it looks like CW is on his way. Hope he isn't but fear he is.

Slowly being won over but still need to see a couple more quality signings before I decide. Scannell will be a great signing if it happens

A good and different approach to a Poll, Rod.

However - In early June I predicted the same (mid table). In spite of our recent signings I still see City falling just short.

We need at least two more of quality before I will say 'top six'. And certainly four before I hope for top two ! ;)

Cautiously optimistic but concerned that we have too many players in the first team squad, who aren’t good enough and with little experience.

Its a big league this year, even without all the shit storm of early summer then this year would have been difficult to achieve promotion. I think they have seen this and chosen to implement the strategy (particularly early doors) earlier or further than they thought.
Ive not waivered, and gone along all summer with what they were trying to do, but even i have been surprised by the last 2 (potentially 2 inc scannell) signings.
I never once thought promotion but always thought well clear of relegation when others were predicting that has certainty. We have a great base, with exciting potential and now a couple of standouts. I wouldnt rule out a possible play off push despite the hard division this season

I'm still cautious about where we could end up. There are a few key factors that need to click together for us to compete with some of the top teams. The key ones being:

    a) Instant impact from the new recruits. How quickly can they click together?
    b) Improved performance from key members of last season's squad.
    c) Can the new coaching team be a success in developing players but also, importantly, in a matchday situation. They might be wonders on the training pitch but what impact can they make tactically?

Time will tell but these three key issues need to click if we are to compete. The final point could be the difference.

My concern is we have a lot of players who slot into certain positions. They can't all play and some may lose heart as they no doubt expect this to be their chance to progress.

I still feel we need one,two if Charlie goes, experienced strikers as I'm still wondering where the goals will come from if Charlie goes.

My excitement for next season is minimal, at best. I hope we’ll piss the league, I always do. I just have no enthusiasm.

I see 46 pints being consumed pre match in the beehive and many more post match in the clyde, the odd away trip and an open top bus tour in may

Realistically we aint gonna get 2 proven strikers even if Wyke goes while we still have kai omari Jones mccartan on books, 1 proven striker and definitely top half if scannell signs, maybe play off push if one of the strikers above or George miller can get mid teens with goals aswell but one thing is for sure we look a lot better equipped defensively than last season
