So our last three signings have all been right wingers. Verrrrry interesting.

Wright and Pereira can play both sides, Banks can play as a 10 too.... just where do they all fit? Wright, Pereira, Banks, Walker, Chapman, Young & Eisa all on the books to play wide or 10. Angol seems to only get in the side on the left too. Stocked up top now.

 

Would be foolish to let Sutton go. He makes the chances and unlocks defences, He may look to do little but what he does counts and makes goals, When our wingers or forwards make a run Smallwood hits it long, East passes backwards and Gilliard never sees the run, Only Sutton sees the run but actually plays the ball to them, He is the only midfield player who plays in the vital area between halfway line and penalty box meaning our attack can play 20 yards further forward and not dropping back looking for the ball on the halfway line, When he plays we look like scoring,

 

Erm.

 

Sutton is shite.

 

If Walker and Eisa are out long term, that’s 5 players for 3 positions which is fine.

Surely at least one player is leaving today however!

Regardless of whether he is shite or not (he's not), even after our flurry of signings we are still light in CM. That's where he will play when he plays

Banks is playing as an inverted winger. He's very left footed - cutting in all the time rather than hitting the byeline and crossing. I'm sure he must be able to play wide left too.

 

Leave him where he is for now. He's having a good impact. He does seem to struggle to keep it going into the second half though so that's perhaps where Wright comes in?

 

3 of them will play the first hour and 3 of them will play the last half hour.
