Neither are a pen. Oliver just got out muscled and the ball hits the lads arm from half a metre away.
    Stop begging, we were poor

Unfortunately you won't get direct 442 this season mate, have to make do with more attractive stuff

I’ll say again that we’d piss this league playing 442 week in week out.
This tippy tappy 16 passes accross the back 4 and then a long cross field pass out of play is not the answer in league 2

I love me some blood and thunder too, nothing against it, but I just don't think we're in for that.

I'm comforted by the fact we've hit the bar in both 0 0s at home and if those go in, were storming it.

I've no concerns at all. Wish our crossing was better, but we'll do well imho

    Fully disagree.

    Our crossing is extremely poor.
We have no creativity in the centre of the park.

Too slow , too predictable. Teams will come and play like Doncaster and Crewe .This side ways passing is not going to break teams down and Mr Hughes need to stop playing Angol wide left he is wasted out there.
5 days left of the transfer window we need a decent left winger, don't hang around for Peiera , he is not the answer.

    Cannot remember anyone dissing Wild.

As for Evans, no way would he have been welcomed here, and rightly so. Also, he has done nothing for a decade, and Stevenage will fall away

    So pedestrian today.
A game of players getting 5’s and 6’s out of 10 with Banks maybe a 7.5 won’t win you many games if the other side set their stall out to be solid and make you try and break them down.

Final ball just not good enough.

61% possession and only 2 shots on target says it all.

LOL!! Because the seasons always decided in August isn't it? As we saw last season when poor starting Bristol Rovers and Mansfield never improved

At the moment we are far too predictable, having said that we should be undefeated so far this season, we certainly deserved something from the away games at Barrow and Colchester.

Evans got Gillingham to their highest position, more or less this century. And did it twice.

Agree with the changes. Respect to Hughes for trying 4-4-2 second half but it never looked like working at all. We looked far worse second half going 4-4-2 than we did first half.

Agreed. We’ve about as much penetration as a nunnery.

im baffled why he took off Chapman after going 4-4-2. We didnt pass to Banks at all in that second half. Young has no left foot and Ridehalgh’s crosses were poor all game.

we reslly didnt help ourself with poor tactics and some poor personnel choices. Foulds and Gillead and Harratt should play next week over Risehalgh, east and angol.

And when the cross is of quality, nobody is making the run, anticipating the cross, which is understandable.

Our attacking play is intermittent and not working as it stands. It's a real problem and I'm unsure of the answer

He killed us by bringing on Young. He offered very little and looked uncomfortable on the left. Bizarrely we continued to go down that side, isolating Banks, who was our sole threat throughout. It was the right move to go 4-4-2 at HT but poor choice of players for the plan. Don’t think Cook or Harratt had a shot on goal today?

We’re a poor side. The numbers back up what we are seeing with our eyes. We need Walker back or some more guile or trickery. We’re just a team of one paced plodders with Chapman subbed.
