    My thoughts:
    Young had a dreadful game.
Angol has to be the lone striker or nothing.
Mindless free kick to give away. Not sure about the penalty.
Mystifying why we signed Oliver when we intend to play a style that just doesn't suit him. A three year deal looks crazy.
We move the ball well up to the box and then it all breaks down.
Gilliead does a lot of useful work but has no idea what to do with the ball.
Harratt looks far and away our best attacking option.
Halliday starting to look a liability defensively.
Ref fine first half, appalling second.
Early days but Hughes still seems to be managing as if he's in the PL. That was a worry I had from the start. You can't play like that in league 2. Still hope he can adjust to a more direct approach.

That was a hugely frustrating watch tonight, not a great performance by us or the referee.

I couldn’t make my mind up. Yes he was clipped but I thought it was the touch on his arm that made him go down then the clip. The other half says it was a definite penalty. I thought the officials were poor.

From the few times I have seen the re run of the incident he went down far too easily-why didn't he take the shot on?

    Hughes lost us that game
He has got to stop been cautious and go for the win from minute one we have a team on paper to walk this League but the way he has us playing we only go for it in last 15 minutes
Let the shackles of Hughes and let the players play this is division 4 football not premier League

He won't slaughter his players on the radio but I was certainly suprised with his post match comment with regards Angol fine with regards the pen but don't drop back and give fouls away on the edge of the box.

Angol played okay in the game. He brought our attack to life. But thats because Oliver gets double marked every game. Change it up for feck sake. Play Harriat with Oliver an I guarantee you, Oliver becomes a better player

We need Walker back as well. Chapman can’t play in the hole behind the strikers. He needs time an space on the ball before he does something with

That doesn’t excuse Angol for being a fecking idiot though, First with kicking out at the colchester lad. He should of got sent off for that. Doesn’t matter about the damage, he kicked out. Its a red

Secondly for being a lazy git an putting in a half arsed challenge on the edge of our box

On the plus side, I'd say that a 3 of Banks, Walker, Chapman behind Harratt has much more dynamism about it than anything we've fielded so far. Hopefully that's a line up we can field soon.

What an utterly frustrating watch that was ref was poor and lost it towards the end but he's not to blame for that. All this piss*ng around with the ball at the back is so predictable. Zero tempo and zero chance we will do anything this season if we carry on like that. We have got to quicken up the play and show a bit more impoteus.

Clearly Oliver is capable of scoring goals but I have to say he looks to be so out of form it's unreal. I've liked Young so far but he had an absolute stinker tonight.

Can't be doing that. A lot of our fans are sensitive and prefer being in league 2 for ever!

What the hell are you smoking? He killed every attack tonight with his slow ponderous play. Failed to bring any overlapping player into the game and dived unnecessarily when he had chance to have a clear shot on goal. He had a mare tonight and I will be very surprised if he starts at the weekend.

Shocking performance against a very poor Colchester United side
    Angol particularly poor.
Oliver once again starved of service and looked lost
Big re think required tactically that was dire.

Been watching Avenue throw a two goal lead away at Scarborough in the last five minutes tonight. Sounds like I didn’t miss a lot

The back 4 and our two defensive midfield players did well gave Colchester few chances our problem was creating the guys on Radio Leeds is bang on little movement from the front men trying to pass our way into the goal.

I seriously hope that he is to become another manager that has the team that clearly is good enough but is set in his own ways to prove a point ................ Bowyer had all the players he needed to get us out of this league but wasted that opportunity I just we ain’t gonna go down that same route with Hughes :( if this club has yet another poor season then I seriously fear for us going forward :( if we lose in the right way going forward attacking teams etc then it’s not the end of the world but this cautious approach isn’t working ............we went after Newport from the off on Saturday and got our rewards is that so difficult to grasp ...............

I’m pressing the panic button. We have a bloated squad, don’t create much and have a soft centre. Also I will state now that Oliver is the worst striker signing since Aaron McClean.

A real lack of desire. An inability to get in the face of the Colchester players and press.

Slow, cumbersome. That left looked wrong tonight.

It didn't work up top. Oliver was isolated and the ball was going up to him, vwith his back to goal.

Frustrated, disappointed but more importantly after 4 games, far, far too many questions
