I am not impressed with the catering franchise at VP just one of tea bars in the lower Kop open on Saturday with a nearly 20 grand crowd leading to big queues at half time and congestion round the toilet areas. Poor

How much do you normally spend on average at the tea bars?

It's very tough to recruit staff at the moment. Many businesses are struggling with recruitment.
Appreciate the hospitality staff at your pub/restuarant/cafe before they leave.

My missus went to the tea bar for some scran and she said there were like three options.

She got a tikka panini, said it was decent, but it didn't look that great.

Are tiffin also known as the Yorkshire catering company then? It was announced in the lead up to Saturday that YCC had taken over all catering in the stadium

My understanding is that YCC do the hospitality. Tiffin run the kiosks/fan zone.
I think there's a joint venture between YCC/The club on the events, such as Ricky Hatton etc.

Totally agree, the planning was crap.

kiosk open directly in front of gate where smokers go out and it was chaos. Hot water tap only partially filled the cup so they had to prat about topping it up.
Why not have pints already pulled ?
only one pump on each side with one tap redundant
Obvious the staff were new and didn’t have a clue. I asked for a black tea… was told not possible as the cups already contained powdered milk !!!

Ppl were actually very patient but that always won’t be the case I dare say.

the smoking area is still a problem

It will go flat, but there is no reason to think they can’t draw 3/4 of a glass and top up on demand.

I saw that at Wembley on Sunday, I always get a bit disappointed knowing it’ll be a tad stale. BUT the service was incredibly fast. Literally served in seconds. So yeah i agree city need to do the same!

just start pulling the beer as soon as the customers start arriving, surely 2 pulling the beer constantly would speed up the service without flat beer

Not disagreeing, it’s supply that can’t meet demand if there are only two people at the back of the
“ bar” , so to speak when everything is crammed into a 15 minute window.

Can't for the life of me understand why folk drink at the stadium anyway? Personally I'm there for 90 minutes of football. Sick of being a yo-yo up and down out of my seat as the ones with full bladders are back and forth from the toliet. I can go to a proper pub and get a drink 20 minutes after the game.

The service has got quicker, so better that way but the few products on offer are not so great.
As it was the first game, got to the ground early with my youngest and would usually pick the balti pie and pint offer if we hadn't got something earlier elsewhere like we normally do but with the weather pretty warm and humid went for the cheeseburger and cider.
The burger did not taste of meat, not even horsemeat and had a rubbery texture- would not get again.
The cider was nice though but no, unless desperate dan will not use the kiosks.
I hope that foodhall where the old marks + sparks store used to be opens soon but is looking like years rather than months by the looks of the derelict site.

Don't you just select what you want from the stadium app and just collect when it's ready?
