Have you a link to where the EU boasted it would keep Europ war free. The concept after ww2 was to help Europe remain war free. USA and its NATO allies decided otherwise in

The quality of the trade deals and income is woeful and today I believe our closest ally the USA has said it not interested in a free trade deal with the UK.

Broncs I believe it was you who said to me on this forum when brexit first happened see where we are in 2 years time with it.
Given Russia isn't in the EU and no member states have fought a war against each other since its' inception, I'd say it's done well on that front.

 

Sorry I didn't have the hindsight of an 18 month world pandemic forgive me, followed by a world economic slowdown.

Ukraine are seeking EU membership, but yes not having wars is a great thing, and the logic behind it makes sense, shame the world cant have a club where every nation on the face of the earth trades with each other rather wouldn't that be great.

Going back to car washes, went to 'pit stop' on valley road today for a mini valet. When I got out of the car, I noticed there were loads of sleeping bags and rugs, with a small tv inside the car wash itself, with one of the workers actually asleep on one of the grotty sofas in there.

Makes me think that these workers are trafficked in and actually live in these almost inhuman habitats. None of them speak barely a word of English between them too.

 

If it’s the one next to the old public house I think they all reside in the pub seen quite a few coming in and out as I’ve passed on numerous occasions

 

I think they actually live in the back of the car wash, used to use it a while back. The (owner)? Boss man, was sent to prison for trying to get an undercover police officer to illegally smuggle his brother to England

 

I used a car wash in East London once when I was delivering new cars a few years back, the service was incredibly slow and they didn't seem to have many staff.
The owner explained that he had just taken over and when he had a visit from the local council all his staff ran away.

 

Yes, I certainly got a strong impression that they were living in the room at the back of the car wash.
