2022/23 Final League Position Prediction (with Poll)

I’m very hopeful this is going to be the season we do get promoted our support deserves it . I have confidence in Hughes (Sparky ) our signings appear okay hopefully the team put the effort in and we get promoted .

 

I know he hasn’t my post wasn’t 100% serious, but a winners a winner regardless. He’s only ever managed in the top flight and unless you’re at a top club your chances are near impossible. Some managers who’d be considered amazing managers in the championship never managed to win anything, suppose it depends on what people class as winning. For Leeds ending 17th last season was a win, Bielsa was a fantastic manager but I’m not aware of him winning anything in the top flight? Granted I can’t say my knowledge of his history is great, he quickly won the championship though when he dropped out of top tier management.

 

He's certainly a winner as a player but as a manager, questions exist. One being, why League 2 when you have international and PL on your CV.

I guess with the monies, no League Cup (Swansea, Birmingham, Middlesbrough) or FA Cup (Wigan, Portsmouth) is a legitimate question.

Hopefully, the gaffer has silverware in his possession at the end of the season.

 

There are lots of big names and managers out of work and out of the game. He didn’t want that and good on him for that

 

Don't disagree with the sentiment. However, my initial point on a lack of silverware is relevant despite monies spent.

 

Champions - bets already on at 8/1; happy to say the same in a poll.

 

Some clubs don’t go for the domestics or don’t seem to, see Newcastle for an example. I’m guessing those in brackets are examples of those doing it without money? Two of them were relegated when winning the cup(his clubs may have solely been interested in the league) and Pompey through a good chunk at that team ending in them doing an us and collapsing down the leagues. Neither Birmingham or Wigan have been back to the PL since either.

 

Enough points to be champions by the end of feb

 

It's 'far too early' for people who want to wait until the season's nearly over then declare 'I told you so' haha

I'd like to vote for top 3 but options are EITHER champs OR 2-3.

Think top 4 but as alluded to in previous posts, that's not an option so going for champions.

Until people have seen the team play at least 5 competitive game in the league no one truly knows.

No, nobody knows but they can predict, forecast, foretell, guess based on best estimates. Prediction means looking into what might happen. it does not mean looking back at what has already happened. You can't bet in hindsight.

I predict that we finished 14th last season.

Maybe the weather forecast should stick to telling us yesterday's weather.
