How many league games will City lose?

As many defeats as equates to mid table mediocrity.

Well know because currently I have us down for a 10th place finish.

 

Is that 10th? If so are you wanting to do a £20 bet for the BBU I say they will finish higher!

We can get it placed into a sticky if one is agreeable.

Minimum of 10 defeats would be my guess but impossible to say until we see what other teams are like. Anyone know when we last lost under 10?

 

just looked and it’s 1985 with 8. Both the 1999 promotion and the 1988 “nearly season” were 11

 

FGR and Exeter both had 8 losses last season, next we’re Bristol Rovers Northampton and Port Vale with 12. Take that as you will but looking at other teams recruitment so far 8-10 losses will be the number.

 

Bristol Rovers made a shocking start to the season but we were instrumental in turning there season around after they turned the 2 - 0 half time deficit around, they must have lost most of those games inthe early part of the season.

As I recall that's the same as you quoted last year although you later refined it to 8th.

As long as we have enough points to be getting ready for the start of our first season back in division one this time next year, I am not bothered

 

As Park says it’s somewhat meaningless as long as we go up, obviously the logic of losing less gives you more points applies but if you lost 20 games and won 26 there’d be some seasons that would see enough for automatics and most seasons a playoff place.
