So the question is……How are they funding the “extravaganza “? £415 season adult currently , so it’s owner or bank loans. I can’t see their commercial activity being anywhere near ours, as a result they are going to have to curtail some spending surely accounting for EFL rules?

 

What managers have done in the past is trying to shoehorn players into a formation they have not been brought in for. If they are brought in pre season with deliberate intentions of playing 3 at the back for a manager who regularly plays 3 at the back then there's no reason why it can't work. It's just our fans who don't like change.

 

How do any of these clubs do it there are ways and means

 

FFS m8, it's 4-4-2. We're league 2 not Pep and Man City or summat.

Of course Oldham , Bury et al know all too well, to name but two basket cases?

Doesn't matter what works elsewhere, we are a 4-4-2 club.

The game is constantly evolving. 4-4-2 is not the “Bradford City Way”. being stuck in the bottom leagues of english football an signing players that aren’t up for the task at hand has been the Bradford City way for the better part of the decade. Hughes could play 5 at the back for all I care, As long as we are winning, that is ultimately what matters. Didn’t FGR take the league by storm by having 2 attacking wing backs that most teams couldn’t contain? As long as the right players are in place and the team is well drilled, thats all that matters when it comes to deciding formations to play in. Saying that 4-4-2 is the only way for Bradford City to play is ludicrous
